Late in the season, April 27 2022, to see whales in Maui, however the guide for QUICKSILVER CHARTERS called other guides and found a mother and her calf. He also located a couple other whales which the guide said were more than likely males. The calf played a lot and jump out of the water a few times. The mother waved with her pectoral fins more than once. GREAT!!!

4/30 was the last day of Whale Watching, but it was nice to be able to see a pair of whales. The baby whale was active and appeared on the surface of the sea many times, but the mother whale showed her back and tail to the surface of the sea only twice.

I was a bit weary about booking because we were warned by many that it was the TAIL end of whale season and the likelihood of us seeing something was very slim.
To our surprise, we saw 4 whales! A mama & her baby + two males. An amazing sight! The captain was hilarious and the staff was very attentive.
