Our guide Angelo was lovely and very patient. It was a great tour, we really enjoyed the caves and the walk around the craters!

This was just the best way to end our holiday, a fantastic guide who provided a great balance of information and fun, plus of course Etna itself was incredible and walking round the craters is an experience not to be missed.

Really good tour and very professional. Prompt pick up from the hotel, comfortable drive to and from Etna, with a nice stop on the way to sample some local food. The tour guide had a lot of knowledge and was very friendly. All in all it was a great experience and would highly recommend.

The best part was seeing lava and being inside a crater. There were few groups, which made the experience more intimate.

Tour guide excellent and informative stunning views and amazing stop offs – lots of photo opportunities and guide took lots of photos of us which was nice because as a couple you often never get any of the two of you

The guide Mateo was informative and friendly. He was patient and relaxed with our small group of seven.

The guide, Enzo, was informative and amusing. The tour ran to time – the experience was very memorable.

Francesco the guide was really lovely and it was good to see the mountain but that’s where the fun ended.
The tour went ahead despite freezing cold rain at the summit and the threat of a storm – no one in the group was warned about what to bring to prepare appropriately except for a question about whether we had a jacket after we were already in the car. (Too late!) The result was everybody in the tour was freezing and soaked wet 20 minutes into the tour. Given the mountain is slippery and quite dangerous if you get cold and stiff this seems a basic amount of information to give ahead of time.
The “wine, honey and olive oil tasting at a local producer” was literally being herded into a shop to stand around awkwardly and ask to be given tiny skewers of bread with a tiny bit of olive oil from a plastic container. The wine was not served to temperature and was dishes out in little plastic cups. In each cup there was less than a thimble full of wine – not a proper tasting at all. The wine also tasted of poor quality – although it was hard to tell given how little wine there was, the method it was served and that it was not served to temperature.
Italy is such a generous country and food is so important, given bread and olive oil are free flowing every time you sit down for a meal I would have thought we would be sat down and at least have a few slices of bread and a proper tasting. The actual experience was not that at all.

Great afternoon/evening exploring Etna at a quiet and beautiful time of the day. Opportunity to walk on some craters and learn more about the vulcano. Awesome to see lava flows

Our guide Enzo was great. Very knowledgeable and a really good storyteller. It was loads of fun and Etna was beautiful.

Our guide Florence was really good. She had a very good knowledge of the Etna area and the volcano. She did a terrific job getting us back to Taormina when roads were closed due to a cycling / running event.
My problem with the tour is that the drive from and back to Taormina was an hour each way plus the sunset just wasn’t very interesting, just the bright sun going behind the mountain. There was hardly any color. We climbed up 150 meters to get a better view, but I don’t think it was worth the climb.

Beautiful trip, fantastic Views. Very pleasant guide, but also a very fast driver. Interesting caves and an interesting landscape

Whole trip was amazing. Starting with tasting some traditional food, homemade honey and wine. The views from etna felt like I was walking on the moon and the guide Simone was so nice informative and full of energy. Grazia!

The tour was great, it was an amazing experience and I highly recommend it. Our tour was on July 23rd 2024 and the stops weren’t crowded at all. The view from Etna was breathtaking and our guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. He gave us enough time to take beautiful pictures and take in the views. The pictures don’t do it justice. It feels like you are on another planet. If you are thinking about booking the tour, do it, you will not be disappointed. I am definitely doing the tour again next time I am in Sicily.

Fun tour. Julio was fantastic. His english is excellent and he looked after us well. Highly recommended!

  16. Federico_C

Incredible experience in particular if it’s the first time you visit Etna – Timing and organization perfect, the guide was incredibly nice and informative

  17. Jane_L

Our tour guide, Daria, was fantastic and spoke impeccable English. However, the content of the tour was lacking. Firstly, the wine tasting and honey tasting was unnecessary. The hike up the mountain is not suitable for anyone other than those who are very fit, and the cave was nothing worth writing g home about.

Guilio was a fantastic guide and we had a wonderful time. He was insightful and patient. His driving was impeccable. His knowledge of Etna and its surrounding gave us fascinating insights into how the volcano fits into local life. It was an absolute pleasure to be escorted by him and I would be happy to recommend him to anyone contemplating a trip to Etna. Equally I would be delighted if he was our guide on other trips.

  19. Amanda_F

Good information presented in an easy entertaining way by the guide. Walkable trails, no special gear required. The tasting was good, proper sit down with glasses and cutlery. The driving was good and made entertaining.

Excellent guide in Nando nothing was too much trouble made the tour for us all. Seeing the cave and then craters and trekking up one at 2000 meters was an experience never to forget then finally seeing the sun set made a great finish to the trip.
