Really enjoyed this tour for the second time. I would recommend going back to allowing some time in the shopping area of Stellenbosch. The first time we did the tour in 2019, the guide gave us an hour to walk around that area and do some shopping. A few people yesterday left the tour after the last winery to go back to do some shopping.

The entire tour was great! We visited 3 beautiful wineries that had good wines and conducted an informative wine tasting with great presentations. We had lunch at Franschhoek Winery where we had an amazing lunch, the best food we had eaten in SA. The Guides were very friendly and professional. I highly recommend this tour because it was well planned and very reasonable in price.

Best decision I made in Cape Town. This wine tour was amazing. We fit three regions in a day and didn’t feel rushed at all. The bus was clean and our tour guide Charles was extremely knowledgeable and patient. The wineries were beautiful. The locations and wine selections we perfect.

The tour used the City Sightseeing buses which were very comfortable and gave us a great view as we drove though the beautiful countryside. One of us is a wine drinker and the other is not, but we both enjoyed the tour. We learned a lot about wine making and the history of wine in South Africa. The tour guide Rico (sp?) and his team were excellent in providing commentary and keeping us on schedule. The 3 wineries chosen (Stellenbosch, Franshoek & Paarl) gave us a good cross section of wines and wine making in the region. Our favorite was Paarl because of the beautiful secluded setting and the chocolates!

My only suggestion would be that we were given some independent time to walk around Stellenbosch, since we had quite a long time just sitting and waiting for our lunch outside Franschhoek. We could have called in our orders beforehand.

I am a woman, was alone on a solo trip in CTN. I met interesting people and a few other people who made this trip worth while. The Tour Guide is excellent,you won’t be drunk to a point of being incoherent. They make you walk and eat so that the alcohol doesn’t get in the way of your tour. Learnt so much from this. Bring cash for a tip for the staff at the end of your tour. I didn’t bring any, but would have tipped if I had any cash on me.
