Absolutely lovely day. Sally was our driver for the third time, such a treat. We saw gorgeous country side. Lunch at the first winery was very good. I enjoyed the wine at the second winery a bit more but honestly we did not taste a wine we had to have. It was the wineries themselves that delighted us, especially the last one. We opted to skip the tastings and view the gardens instead. Great choice, they were magnificent.

  2. ToniBailie

All 3 wineries offered v good wines and multiple tastings. The lunch was well worth it, very tasty and generous.

Great tour and tour guide. We enjoyed all 3 wineries on the tour. Also some amazing scenery. Would highly recommend.

  4. Janet_S

We visited four wineries and had a wonderful time. Our driver Graham was very knowledgeable about the area and kept us on schedule.

A nice mix of venues. All the hosts were helpful and friendly. Well organised. Those sharing the experience with us were also friendly too!

Great experience with a bunch of great people. Graham the bus driver was great too. A must do trip if you are visiting Christchurch 😊🥂

Conflicting communications from the tour operator and Viator regarding start time led to us missing the tour. Tour operator contacted me several days prior and said the tour would start at 11:00 AM. I acknowledged that change was okay. Viator sent me a reminder the morning of the tour stating a 12 Noon start time. I downloaded the tickets the morning of the tour and the tickets stated a Noon start time. We arrived at the meeting point at 11:45 AM. There was a van from Leisure Tours parked there but no one around. So we called Leisure Tours and learned that they left at 11:00 without us. So the message from Viator and the stated time on the ticket were both incorrect. At 11:00 we were two blocks from the pickup point at a restaurant called Fiddlesticks, drinking coffee and killing time. If the tour operator would have phoned me, we could have been at the meeting point by 11:05. If the communications from Viator would have stated an 11:00 start time and not 12 Noon, we would have been at the pickup point by 10:45 AM.

Great tour guide! Enjoyed her stories of local history during the bus ride to the wineries. Unfortunately, we did not keep to a good time schedule and did not make it to our last winery. Disappointed about that but enjoyed meeting others from around the world.

Since I am not much of a wine drinker, the best thing for me was seeing the beautiful countryside. The driver seemed new but did his best to explain some things. The last winery where we stopped and included lunch, the irony was that wine was not provided.

The tour guide was great and super friendly. Lunch was very nice at Waipara springs. I think 3 wineries would have been better as we were a bit rushed after the first winery. Lunch as pegasus bay would be great to with its impressive grounds.

Scotty the guide was informative and energetic in his delivery. The local wine makers were enthusiastic and knowledgeable

Lovely day of great wine. Lunch was fantastic. The wineries had a good variety and the scenery was lovely. Our guide did a great job and was very accommodating.

Lovely tour, however we had to spend far too long at our first stop then didn’t have enough time at the last stop, which happened to be the one we were looking forward to the most.

  14. Tiiu_N

The tour was nice, also liked the nice Bus. We did not like the driver did not give any commentary whatsoever as expected. Also, we felt rushed at the winaries, as the bus-driver was an extreamly tihti schedule. All the winaries were nice and the lunch as well.

  15. Nancy_B

The tour was rushed and the wines were just so-so. The Pegasus winery gardens were stunning. Would not recommend

  16. Jane_G

Very enjoyable afternoon – went to 3 vineyards and sampled lots of different wines. We were lucky to have good weather so also enjoyed the scenery on the journey there and back to Christchurch

  17. Bruno_C

I’ve payed to visit 4 (FOUR) WINERIES and drink more than 20 wines as the program informs, but thats a lie!!! We visited just 3 (THREE) wineries and came Back. Thats not fake and nobody oferred us a compensariam or something like that. Btw, the wines we tasted aren’t good. I’m frustrared and disappointed! The driver is the only positive point In the tour. Very friendly and kind.

  18. Glenn_B

The tour was rushed. Have been on many wine tours and this was probably my worst. Rushed by the driver and by the wineries. Very strange. We were also signed up for 4 wineries and was told we only had time for 3.

  19. Louise_V

Gorgeous vineyards, with a broad selection of wines offered for tasting. Lunch was excellent. The driver was very knowledgeable & the van very modern & comfortable. In all a very lovely afternoon for foodies & winelovers!

Great half day trip out to the countryside. We enjoyed the smaller winery the best. Our tour guy was great 👍
