Guide did a fine job of highlighting the key aspects of each of the sections of the palace grounds so one could go explore more in depth after the guided portion of the tour. One can easily spend 2-3 hours walking the palace grounds.

We were a group of 8 adults. The Blue Mosque & Hagia Sophia were a lifetime experience for each one of us. The entire complex and the individual monuments are maintained immaculately.
Our tour began with the Hippodrome outside the great Mosque. Our Tour Guide, Mr Ugur, recounted its history in a manner that brought the past vividly alive before our eyes.
We were treated to an introduction to the history and cultural significance of the Blue Mosque before we entered. We were overwhelmed by its splendid aesthetics and majesty and the calm inside despite the steady stream of visitors.
In Hagiya Sophia, we were taken through the layered history of the edifice as well as the civil engineering challenges that its designers had to deal with.
It is impossible to see enough of the Blue Mosque and Hagiya Sophia in less than a couple of visits.

Being in the palace was an immersive experience with history, artifacts, and life styles at large from a former military precinct where Sultans and cohorts gathered for training intelligence planning. Guide was knowledgeable, flexible, helpful. Recommended. One hour guided tour and staying as long as the museum is open was convenient for us to have our couples moments, photos, leisurely walk through the exhibits.

Guided tour means they are with you. This man explains everything faster than speed of light and leaves and you do 100% of the tour by yourself. Also arabic was the reason I got this package and they had no Arabic.

The guide did not impart knowledge. The guide managed logistics, helped people who had not followed directions in emails download the app, oriented us and set us ‘free to explore’. Not worth it. the line moved right along anyway.

Can’t really comment on the tour as I never made it there. Booked relatively short before the trip (1.5h). Never received the address of the redemption place nor a map and could not find it in the 30 minutes I arrived on site before the tour. People were not helpful and hardly speak English nor German. The tour guy brought all arguments why this was my own fault, but he never told me where I should have redeemed my confirmation into a ticket (mail was empty at that place) nor did he send me a map. He sent me a link later, but it just pointed out again to the general information. If they would just put half the effort into proper information than into justification, all would have been good.
