We had the most fabulous tour! Oguzhan was an OUTSTANDING GUIDE! His knowledge, presentation and absolute passion for the history of this city was better than we could have expected! From the moment we booked our reservation, Oguzhan stayed in contact with us to make sure we had all of our questions answered before the trip. He is kind, respectful and very humble. We learned so much about the history of some very important places in Istanbul
that we could not have learned on our own! Enjoyed some extra spots as well! His presentation was as if he was retelling a story he was part of! Ozzy loves his job and all of us on our tour felt his enthusiasm! Lunch was amazing and our group felt like we were old friends! My wife and I went to visit Istanbul for the first time. We spent one day visiting these historic sites. The tour lasted all day, but it felt like only a couple of hours at the end of the day. That is because we have an excellent professional guide. Oguzhan is very knowledgeable. He knows the history and does it from hurt. We have enjoyed all the historic sites and the rich history the place offers.

Our guide was Oguzhan who is very engaging, knowlegeable and informative; there was never a dull moment. He sent a reminder a day ahead reminding of what to bring along and a weather forecast. He must be in this business for very long as you can see many guides, shop owners and guards at the museums exchanged greetings with him like a good old friend. His spoken English is fantastic and his explanation with analogy to your culture and religion makes the “long history lesson” easy to understand. Besides the charming and fantastic guide, this tour we took only had 6 participants and Oguzhan said the tour always operate no more than 10 pax which is great if you would like more attention and very little waiting of others.

I would like to start off my saying that the title of this review is NOT an exaggeration. I’ve traveled all over the world, across many continents and I’ve been on all manner of tours and excursions. Oguzhan is by far THE BEST tour guide I’ve had. He’s extremely knowledgeable and wise. He speaks eloquently and can answer absolutely any question you ask (I know, I asked a lot of questions!). You can tell just within the first hour that he’s very experienced and knows how to make the most out of every second of the day. I 1000% recommend booking a tour with him because you wont regret it. It’s a full day of fun and excitement and was the highlight of my time in Istanbul!

Could not be more satisfied with our tour guide Oguzhan aka “Ozzy”! The maximum is 10 people, and as a family we were already 10 people so it worked out perfectly. His English was excellent and he’s very knowledgeable. I learned so much about the Topkapi Palace, Sophia Hagia ..etc. It’s probably the most exciting history lesson I’ve had since high school. I might even decide to take some Turkish history classes this semester in college. I can tell Ozzy loves his job and he made sure we all enjoyed our time and felt comfortable. He’s also great with kids! My little brother liked walking around and holding his “guide stick”. The lunch was delicious and the authentic Turkish shops we explored were nice and welcoming. Oghuzan Ceylan is one of the best tour guides I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. Informative, knowledgeable, interested and proud of his country. Very rarely do you meet a guide that is not only enthusiastic about leading a group of happy holiday makers but Is actually enjoying the tour himself too. Although he must have done this tour thousands of times day in and out. His knowledge of history is impeccable and I don’t think many can catch him out other than a history professor. I will be definitely taking the rest of my family on this tour when I come back to istanbul. A joy to see such a guide and his country should be proud of him. Good memories of Istanbul because of him. Well done Oghuzan and keep up the great work.

Wow! If you only do one tour pick this one. Oguzhan Ceylan is a professional tourist guide with an irreverent attitude that was truthful and commentary that as entertaining as it was informative. Besides getting a thorough tour of the main attractions, we felt that we experienced true Turkish hospitality (being served tea in various places) together with a delicious lunch of Turkish dishes. We were lucky in our timing because the Sultan Ahmed Mosque (Blue Mosque) is back open without scaffolding and is beautiful. If you are new to Istanbul, start with this tour if you possibly can. Thank you Oguzhan for the wonderful day!!

Very knowledgeable guide. He explained everything really well. I gave 4 stars only because some of the stops were sales pitches like the rug store and the bazaar. Instead of just showing us and explaining things in the bazaar the guide took us to shops where the vendors had prepared sales pitches. We spent a lot of time in those stores. Assuming the guide gets a cut. Everything in Istanbul is a sales pitch. Other than that the historical sites were very interesting and the guide was extremely helpful in answering all the questions.
