Paster is great guide, He was very knowledgable and engaging. Sadly, we had a rainy day but nonetheless, we felt we got an excellent overview of Johannesburg. One thing that was not terrific was that we had booked a private tour so we were dismayed to find another passenger in the car with us. We did not make an issue of this in the moment but I am hoping Viator will acknowledge this was a slip up.

This was an insightful experience into the heart of johannesburg, this was a private tour with my mother for my birthday and we gained a lot of information from our wonderful guide. very knowledgeable about the history of his country and stated in detail to all the questions we had. we visited Soweto, the apartheid museum, constitutional hill, drove through the city of johannesburg getting out a few places so he could explain certain areas and trendy places. we drove to mandela house, and stopped by winnie Mandela house as well as the last place nelson mandela lived before he died. South africa is a very beautiful place and would highly recommend this tour. We also had the opportunity to walk through the township and see into one of the houses of the poverty stricken community if you choose. We had an option to stop for lunch but we had a heavy breakfast so we passed the option. Please have extra cash on hand to help these volunteers and guides by tipping and giving what you can as they explain their culture and present day lifestyle. The Mandela Museum has a student volunteer and inside the township has a guide. Great Trip! Thank you.

My family and I did this tour with our guide, Pastor. He showed us around the city and explained the cultural and historical significance of the things we were seeing. We learned so much and really enjoyed ourselves, though some of the content, especially at the Apartheid Museum, is difficult. We feel like we have a much better understanding of South Africa and its people after this tour.
Pastor was great. He was kind to my children. He was familiar with all of the logistics of the sites we visited and had contacts at each, which made the tour efficient. We did not wait in any lines. He tailored some of the day, such as the restaurant we at lunch at, based on our unique preferences and needs. He is a wealth of information and handled some of our awkward questions elegantly. He did a wonderful job, and I am grateful to him for giving us a great day.
