One of the best tour we have ever had due to our guide George Murray. The picturesque Scotland landscapes, castles, villages and nature were all opened up for us by George. Very intelligent person with deep knowledge of Scotland history, economy, people and nature.

Our guide George arrived fully kilted and presented a dapper highland figure. He was knowledgeable of the area and presented us with a choice of stops along our tour. We got to see Culloden, the Beauly Priory, Glen Ord distillery and actually we opted for a different castle (Cawdor Castle) which had less walking as we are somewhat aged and it, too, has a rich and controversial history. It was a wonderful very personalized tour I couldn’t recommend more highly!!

Dunrobin castle was fantastic, the falconry exhibition, gardens and interiors, however, the “and more” part of the tour was very disappointing.

Alastair had an extensive knowledge of the places we visited and was flexible with our schedule. We would definitely recommend this company.
Michelle_H –
George was a phenomenal guide! He had so much knowledge of the history and culture and explained it all so well. The sites and views are awe inspiring. Definitely must do when in the Highlands.

Alister provided an amazing custom tour for my parents and our 5 year old daughter. He changed the to better align with what they were looking for, and provided them with so much information, they were talking about it for days.

We had a great day going to the Dunrobin Castle. It is a site to be seen. The Falconry show was great! This trip was made phenomenal by George. He took us exploring all over the highlands. We learned so much about the history of Scotland. This was an added trip because another tour operator canceled because we were the only ones on the trip. We were also the only ones on our trip with George but he didn’t cancel. He picked us up and gave us the experience of a lifetime.

We had the most AMAZING time. Richie was exceptional tour guide. He picked us up at your B and B on time. He was an excellent driver.
He was very knowledgeable and funny 😁. We just loved the tour.. Thanks again Richie. We will recommend this tour to our friends..

Despite a slight hiccup coordinating meeting times (arrived by ship) this turned out to be an outstanding tour.
We were lucky that it turned out to be just me and my wife and our guide Richie. He just smiled and said “the tour’s all yours, where do you want to go?
After a coffee at a local ‘boggy’ it was time to hit the road and stop at anything we thought interesting.
All the time Richie explained the history of the sights.
Dunrobin Castle was superb and the highlight, specially with the gardens and falconry show. Being on a smaller tour we beat the big bus crowds.
On our request we stopped at Royal Dornoch golf club. Wow, what a course.
And finally a stop at Glenmorangie armed with Richie’s tips and suggestions.
An awesome tour. Thanks Richie from David and Merryn. (See you when you play cricket for Scotland).

Dunrobin Castle and the breathtaking beautiful views all around the Black Isle. Our tour guide George from Great Highland Day Tours was very knowledgeable, witty and professional. Would highly recommend him.

the dunrobin experience was not a good idea during the funeral of the Queen and Alastair took us in a delightful, customized tour of Nairn, including Cawdor Castle, Culloden Battlefield and a whiskey tasting! comfortable new minibus, perfect for sightseeing. Knowledgeable, accommodating, fun guide.

Just a wonderful tour with our guide,Alistaire, to Dunrobin Castle. Changed a few things to see more and spend time where we wanted. A wealth of information was our guide, with a few short stops to make the tour unique and memorable. Don’t hesitate, book with GoHIghlands if you are in the area.

Richie took great care of us. Loved spying a hairy cow on the drive

Go Highlands was the perfect operator! Our guide Alastair was extremely knowledgeable and accommodating to our needs. We had a fantastic time seeing the beautiful Highlands and learning about the country.
I cannot day enough about the Go Highlands operators/owners George & Alastair. Our cruse ship was diverted to Invergordon due to weather at our scheduled port. It was late afternoon when found out and scrambled to find a tour. George answered immediately and we were all set! Thank you for showing us your beautiful country….we will be back and absolutely book with Go Highlands!

I had the incredible pleasure of taking the Invergordon Cruise excursion to Dunrobin Castle, Dornoch, and more with George from GoHighlands, and I can highly recommend this tour! It was an absolutely unforgettable experience where I got to witness Scotland’s breathtaking landscapes and fascinating history up close.
George, our guide in traditional kilt, was extremely knowledgeable and could transport us into the captivating world of the Highlands with vivid stories and anecdotes. His enthusiasm for the region was contagious, and he made sure we could fully enjoy every moment of our journey.
Another highlight was the visit to a whisky distillery, where George introduced us to the art of crafting Scotland’s national drink. His expertise in the whisky-making process was impressive, and he patiently answered all our questions. Of course, we also had the pleasure of sampling the delicious whisky.
Undoubtedly, the pinnacle of the tour was the visit to the impressive Dunrobin Castle, which seemed straight out of a fairy tale. George guided us through the magnificent rooms, gardens, and the fascinating falconry. His passion for the castle’s history and the surrounding landscape was palpable and made the visit an unforgettable experience.
The entire tour was educational, action-packed, and perfectly organized down to the smallest detail, thanks to George’s excellent guidance. I felt safe and well taken care of throughout the journey. Easter Ross and Sutherland truly offer the best scenery one can imagine, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to experience it on this tour.
If you’re seeking an unforgettable insight into the history and beauty of Scotland, then this tour with George as your guide is the perfect choice for you.
Thank you George!!!!

Alastair Kennedy was a delightful guide/driver for this tour that included one of the most beautiful castles and gardens, along with driving around the Highlands and a stop for lunch in Dornoch. It helped probably that the day was perfect, but I found this one of the best tours we’ve done. Alastair was also extremely helpful to me considering I use a cane…he was always aware of where his passengers were and what help they might need. He’s also an excellent driver who taught us ( or tried to) a lot of Scottish history. I’d highly recommend this tour for the variety of experiences.

Alistair was so knowledgeable and accommodating on this tour. He made sure we spent the most time on those things of most interest to us. Dunrobin gardens were spectacular! Loved the waterfall we stopped at and Dornoch.
