The tour started out great; but it had recently snowed and the temperature was very low. This has a huge impact on our trip. We attempted to traverse the mts to Glendendough however the road was not passible as a paddy wagon had overturned prior to us. Luckily the cars coming though that pass warned our driver and guide. Willy the driver did an excellent job maneuvering a downhill back up that was difficult and he managed to not get us stuck in the process. So we ended up missing the Wicklow Mts and Glendendough due to circumstances outside of the tours controls. Guide Phillip was very great at communicating and tried to apologize for missing that part of the tour, but our safety was prioritized which I appreciated. Ultimately we came on tour during a weird weather situation and in all Phillip and Willy were great. I would still recommend this tour 🙂

The views were incredible, but there was too much time spent at Killkenny as there weren’t much to do there. And with Wicklow Mountains, you literally just stop the bus, take a photo, and go off again, so there weren’t much done there

The tour is very well organised. Enough time in each place to do what you need to do and see.
Phil the guide was super knowledgeable and funny and all that he spoke about was interesting and informative.
Alec drove us safely and even pointed out a few things to us aswell. They made a good team. Would throughly recommend.

Phil was a nice and well educated tour guide. We visited historic places and churches. His english was clearly understandable.

This was a great tour! We would have loved another one to two hours in Glendalough exploring the National Park.

This was a great trip to start our vacation. Brian, our tour guide, was very knowledgable and shared local history, travel suggestions, and Irish history. Good pace throughout the tour. We were able to enjoy the beautiful countryside of Ireland for the whole day. Kilkenny was a lively small city to enjoy. Highly recommend this tour.

  7. Dillon_D

The best part was taking a walk with Pat our Tour guide in the city of Kilkenny and listening to the history and the historical buildings.

The trip is very well organized. Everything is as in the advertising. We left the meeting point and returned back to Dublin punctually. The guide is great; he provided very clear and interesting information on the history of Ireland and particularly the places we visited. Although the destination is far (so the bus trip is long), the time allowed to explore the places, have lunch, etc. is adequate. The landscapes are beautiful. I would recommend.

Our tour guide was a retired tour guide who was great. He gave so much information about Ireland, the area and the history. Worth it.

  12. Joerg_S

The tour was really good. Our tour guide pat and Alec the driver did a very good job to explain and entertain during the trip. Starting with Glenadalough, we had time to explore a bit the site and also walk to the lakes, ending in Kilkenny, which is a beautiful town. Great tour, recommended

The best trip you can do in Dublin ! Guided by the amazing Pat an exceptional man who will tell you with passion the history of the places visited. His energy makes the experience even better. The Wicklow Mountains are just mesmerizing and the hole experience will forever be stuck in my memory !

From the moment they picked us up, Pat and Martin, the bus driver were fabulous.
Pat is a retired school teacher and had so much knowledge of all the locations. He truly cared, and took the time explaining the history.
I highly recommend this tour. It’s a must.
Martin, is a great driver. Excellent team‼️🇮🇪

We had a great time, loved the sites visited and luckily the weather was also friendly. Glendalough and the valley of the two lakes are wonderful, it was incredible to see a monastery so old. Kilkenny is a lovely town with very nice atmosphere. The coach was comfortable and both our guide, Phil, and our driver, Paul, did a great job. We really liked Phil’s stories and singing as well.

Great experience with Philip the guide and John the driver. Went for a daytrip and had enough time to see the sites and walk around. Recomment it!

  17. Avery_H

The tour was very nice. I liked that the guided section was optional as I like to explore. After doing a different tour, I can say these busses had more legroom and more comfortable seats.

  18. Keith_M

The entire trip was great. I especially enjoyed the castle in Kilkenny. Phillip our tour guide was wonderful. He was very knowledgeable and had a great personality.

  19. Kaitlyn_S

So happy to have booked this tour! Not only were the views we got to experience beautiful but our guide, Phil, was wonderful. Not only did he share some of Ireland’s history with us but he was funny and had great energy. I highly recommend this tour especially if you are only in the Dublin area for a short period of time as you get to see a good amount in a short time.

Philip was an amazing guide. We loved all of this trip, only wish it had been longer! Kilkenny has so much more to offer. We would go on another trip with Collins Tours without hesitation.
