We had an incredible day touring Hiroshima with Masa. We had a private tour by public transport and it was action packed. We took trains, slow ferries, and high speed boats. We of course covered the peace memorial, very moving experience for all. The trip to the island was excellent. All in all very nice day.

A wonderful trip to Hiroshima and Miyajima! With Yuko being the perfect guide – very competent, understanding and flexible to our wishes. A Highlight of our vacation! Best regards Sendy & Babsi

My family and I had an amazing tour through Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. Our guide, Yasu was amazing! We had a major, last minute change in plans…(our ship arrived in a different port) and he was so acommodating, and flexible, adjusting our schedule for the day. Yasu shared the significance of each memorial before before we went into the Peace Memorial Museum. The entire experience was overwhelming, emotionally impactful, and a bit heavy, yet the forgiveness and their indomitable spirit brings hope to the world that there can be peace and their plea that nuclear weapons are never to be used again.
After that, it was nice to chat with Yasu on our way to the little shopping area where we picked up some bento that we could eat on our ferry ride to Miyajima Island. We loved the deer just roaming around, the giant torii gate, learning about thr uniqueness of having both shrine and temple in the same area. We loved the quaint shops, snacks and beer. Yasu even stood in line for us at the yummy Momiji Manju sweet stand while we picked up drinks. Miyajima was one of the highlights of our time in Japan! It was beautiful, and refreshing! We wish we had more time to enjoy it.

Yuji our guide was amazing – he had loads of helpful and interesting information for us to read but also told us a lot on the way and very happy to answer any questions we might have.
Miyajim island was a great experience – the floating shrine captures the imagination as you travel on ferry towards it and the shrines and temples on the island are impressive.
Yuji took us through the dark chamber of a temple chanting as he went. We then took a diversion through the quiet forest where Yuji played a wooden wind instrument beautifully while deer roamed nearby.
A fantastic lunch was preordered for us.
We then headed to Hiroshima where Yuji queued for tickets for us while we walked around. The whole experience left quite an impression made all the better by Yuji.

We truly enjoyed the experience. Our guide, Sae, was great in explaining and showing us all around the shrine and temple. We were given great information about the Hiroshima devastation and a special movie was presented to us too! He spoke English very well!

Our guide Nobu was the best! Very organized and genuine, it was wonderful to spend the day with someone born and raised in Hiroshima learning about his hometown history.
Nobu knew all the areas well…took us to and from all the sites including ones we didn’t know, thru different and interesting routes and answering all our questions. He also went above and beyond to make sure my wife’s dietary restrictions were met by finding a perfect restaurant for lunch. A high recommendation.

The Miyajima shrine and Peace Memorial and the city garden were wonderful sites, explained by a wonderful guide.

Our guide was very considerate, he was very explanative of every monument/shrine/object of interest. He managed our time perfectly and even went as far as extending the tour a bit over the established time to finish the full explanation of the Peace Memorial. Overall I consider the best option for tour guides for anyone interested in getting to know all of Hiroshima.

This tour was informative and comprehensive! We learned a lot from Sei-san about the tragic events that had transpired in Hiroshima. He arranged for us to watch a short documentary before heading into the Hiroshima Peace Memorial Museum. This is recommended for anyone who wants to dive deep into history and architecture/reconstruction of the city. He took us to all the sightseeing spots in Hiroshima and recommended Mitaki-dera and Saijo (sake capital) for the next day.

This tour was phenomenal. A mix of awe, joy, inspiration, heartbreak, and hope all in one day.
The guide: Yuko is hands down the best tour guide I have ever had. I have done tours in the US, the Czech Republic, Spain, and New Zealand. She’s the best. She is from Hiroshima and her passion for the city and its history is tangible. Her pride in its resilience is contagious. She was thoughtful, patient, effusive, and everything else you would want in a guide.
The route: We went to Miyajima Island first and walked all around. Yuko knew how to get around the island to avoid lines/get you an unexpected view. After Miyajima, we went into Hiroshima proper and visited Peace Park and the memorial. Yuko was so generous with her explanations and somehow also comforting.
Today was life changing. I will never forget it.

Our tour of Miyajima and Hiroshima was amazing. Yuji provided 7 or 8 pamphlets of information of the areas and of Japan in general. Very good background information and it greatly enhanced the tour. I consistently book a tour wherever I go to learn more about the places I visit and this tour with Yuji is one of the best one ever. Okini Yuji❣️

11/13/23 – During our recent visit to Japan we had planned a tour of Miyajima / Hiroshima in advance and so glad we did! This was a great tour and our guide Pancho was the best! He took us to Miyajima Island where we saw see the Itsukushima Shrine, and then some of his favorite spots on the island. Once back in Hiroshima, we had a nice lunch that included the famous Hiroshima pancake which was delicious!! After that we went to see all of the historical sites in Hiroshima that included the Memorials, the Hypocenter, various other important buildings, and the Peace Park. Pancho shared some personal stories during the war period which were very touching. It was a day of culture, history, and an overall awesome tour!

Our guide, was extremely knwledgeable and took every opportunity to make sure we enjoyed ourselves and witnessed Hiroshima.

We had a wonderful time touring Miyajima and Hiroshima with Yuji-san! We met up in Hiroshima and started at Miyajima island. Yuji-san thought of everything for us to get the most out of our trip. During our travels he was able to provide some materials where we could learn more about our destination before exploring, which was extremely helpful and thoughtful. The whole day went by so quickly due to our discussions with Yuji-san and learning about the locations we were visiting. The context provided by Yuji-san in relation to the heavy subject matter of Hiroshima was both educational and grounding. Definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Japan!

Sei was wonderful and so helpful to our group. We appreciated his knowledge and his time. I would recommend this tour.

Book with Sachi. She is a great tour guide, who clearly knows her history well. She planned an awesome day for me and my wife. You can tell that Sachi takes her job seriously because she plans in advance and contacts you with questions about how you would like your day to go.
She’s also able to make changes on the fly when things don’t work out. The Peace Museum was incredibly busy the day of our tour. So we opted to go visit a small school turned into a museum.
We also let Sachi know that we are vegan. She went out of her way to contact a restaurant on Miyajima who prepared a special lunch for us. It was quite the memorable meal.
Don’t hesitate. Book with Sachi.

My friends and I had Sei as our tour guide. He was so patient and kind to us. Our time spent together was really awesome we loved miyajima island a lot. We are so thankful for Sei sharing his knowledge and passion with us. Thank you to our sunny Sei ♥️

We had an amazing tour that started at 11am, Yoshi our host was very wonderful and knowledgeable and provided great insights about both locations but also local eats as well. If there could have been an adjustment it would have been better to spend more time at Hiroshima rather than Miyajima Island.

We had a wonderful day with our guide Sei, who had so much knowledge of the History of Hiroshima and Miyajima. He was wonderful with our daughter who had all the hard questions and very accommodating with the many toilet breaks we needed. Highly recommend especially for the Hiroshima Peace Garden. It has been the highlight of our trip.
