Mimmi was an absolutely wonderful tour guide. She was very friendly and kind. We visited multiple areas around Kyoto including the Golden Palace, and Nijo Castle. She had so much knowledge about the multiple sites that we visited that we wouldn’t have gotten without her. It was also really nice to have a day where we had someone help us navigate the city. This tour was well worth the money and I would recommend it to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Moto was a wonderful tour guide! He showed us all the places we requested and more! Even though it rained, we enjoyed the tour very much! Would get Moto as our guide again!

Excellent guide. English very good. Loved the whole day, especially the hike in beautiful wooded area. ATM card wouldn’t work at several locations. He was very helpful in finding a bank where it would work. A+++++

Our guide, Ichiro, was fantastic! We chose to go to Gion, Fushimi Inari Tasha, and a temple. It was hard to choose what to do but highly recommend the Fushimi Inari shrine. Ichiro helped us navigate the trains, taught us ab the religions, and provided lots of interesting info. Highly recommend

Our 6hr Kyoto tour with Shoko was fantastic. Shoko was prepared for our chosen itinerary with quick history lessons so that we had a better understanding of the sites we visited. We covered a lot from shrines and temples to the imperial palace and two world heritage sites. Shoko easily got us around the city by bus. She is friendly and her English is excellent.

I strongly recommend you hire this tour company to add to your Kyoto excursions. We appreciated Tomy’s flexibility and commitment to sharing the history behind each location of our tour (Arishayama Bamboo Forest and Tenryu-Ji), Nanzen-Ji, and Kinkakuji). My group had 2 with mobility issues and 1 toddler, and Tomy was professional and kind enough to ensure our safety during our commute between locations.

We had a very pleasant tour with Kazuo of Kyoto. He is extremely knowledgeable about Kyoto culture and history. He has lived abroad so has a unique perspective about the history too. He came prepared with pictures and pamphlets to help us better understand what we were viewing.
We threw a last minute change of plans and he adjusted easily to monkey park.
Thanks foe the great memories.
Zetong_G –
Tour guide was great, created a well planned route for us to explore all the places we had on our list. He even went out of the way to extend the tour in order to complete what he had originally planned. Very informative about culture, history, and religion, making the tour very engaging and interesting.
Only thing would’ve been to be informed about transportation (public vs taxi) and to be prepared with enough cash

Our guide Yoshi is very nice and incredibly knowledgeable, we had a wonderful experience with him. Highly recommend this private tour.

It was like spending the day with a knowledgeable friend. Maya is such a lovely lady and we had so much fun together. I highly recommend this tour and ask for Maya. You will have a very enjoyable day. She is also very organized and plans the perfect timing for everything. From catching the sunset to viewing temples at the right moment when the sun is shining .

While our guide, Yuka, was lovely, we were disappointed with our tour. We did not see some of the things that we agreed upon before our tour. We were taken on a difficult hike 180m up a hill to see monkeys, which took us a few hours. We didn’t ask for this, as we had a different tour set up with an easier hike to see monkeys. We saw the Golden Temple and Arashiyama, both of which we wanted to see and were amazing. We were supposed to be taken to the old palace and the Geisha district, but were not taken there. We saw the three things and then were dropped off at Nishiki Market with a generalized gesture of where to go and our guide left us there. We had no interest in the market. Wouldn’t pay this kind of money to do this tour again.

The two of us spent the day exploring Kyoto with our guide Moto who was great!
A few days before the tour Moto reached out and asked us what we’d like to see on the tour. We asked to see up see:
– Kyoto imperial palace
– Nijo-jo castle
– Kinkaku-ji the golden pavilion
– A few Geisha districts in Gion
Moto was amazing in organising our day, he met us at our hotel then helped us get around the city using public transport both the metro and the bus network.
Moto was extremely knowledgeable about all of the places we visited and me and my Mrs had a fantastic time seeing the beautiful city of Kyoto.
We were even lucky enough to see two Geisha walking around in Gion!
Moto was very accommodating whenever we wanted to do somethingkke stop for tea or take a short rest, he really went above and beyond.
All in all, I highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for a great day!
