This event exceeded our expectations! We learned so much more than just making pizza. The chefs were fun and friendly and we made delicious pizza!

This was a great experience. The class started with a traditional pasta making, followed by a sicilian break with some cheese, cured meat and local wine. We finished with the pizza making class under the guidance of a friendly chef. Perfect for a hen-do or any event with friends or family.

We really had a fantastic evening with Maurizio at Pizzeria Porte Messina. He was kind, patient, fun, highly skilled and very organized. Pizza class had a an additional pasta making class. Musicians entertained us while we ate our pizza. Grazie Mille!

The most fun we’ve had in a cooking class. Maurizio was the best host keeping us engaged and having a lot of laughs. Just family as soon as you walk in. We will have the best pizza in town from our house in Florida.

Best excursion in Italy during our two week vacation. If you like Italian food, this is it! It was a rainy day in Taormina and we thought we would give this a try. So much fun!!!! Highly recommend.

Brilliant for all the family. Interesting and hands on. Brilliant teacher and lots of fun. Lots of treats and wine which wasn’t expected and just a great experience. Great location too so a must. Says its two hours but we stayed a lot longer. Great restaurant to eat as well. Its a definite from me and my family.

This was one of the highlights of our trip. We had so much fun. My husband was a little hesitant at first (he doesn’t cook much), but he also loved it. We learned a lot and I can’t wait to get back home and try it myself! Davide (spelling?) was a wonderful teacher. We enjoyed getting to learn about pasta as well. The was a great deal for the money!

My daughter and I took a journey to Taormina to do this cooking class. We left our ship in Port Messina and took the journey. I won’t go into detail about the taxi trip nonsense around the port.
Once you are in Taormina it’s like a dream. One of the most lovely cities I’ve ever been to.
We made it to our destination and started cooking. We made pasta, this wonderful eggplant casserole dish and this wonderful fresh fish. We did not make pizza but the experience was so amazing that I really don’t care. The chef who helped us cook was amazing and so were all the people involved. It honestly was the best part of my trip! I highly recommend this experience.

The experience in general was okay but there was actually very little guidance. Given this is an SAT tour provided event I was expecting a bit more. For clarity, the restaurant at Porta Messina looked after us – lots of lovely bread, wine, and we topped our own pizza with their red sauce and Mediterranean toppings. But the pizza dough was pre-made and he talked us through the process rather than showing us. We wasted about an hour making pasta that was all different shapes and sizes so when it was cooked, nobody enjoyed it as half of it was still raw… this also included very little guidance. If you want a class where you can eat and drink lots, this is good fun – and I enjoyed the company! I also thought Chef Gio was very nice. But honestly there are better value cooking classes out there than this one. Also be prepared for larger groups, we were part of a group size close to 30!

My family & I thoroughly enjoyed this pizza making class. Gianni & his team were fabulous! You actually make your own pizza that you then get to eat. This is a must do if visiting in Taormina!

It was amazing. We really laughed but also learned how to make the dough for pizza and pasta. The staff were amazing and the food was delicious. Will definitely go back there again. Their food is amazing!

The pizza making class was a highlight of our trip to Sicily. The staff at Porta Messina restaurant thought of everything. They gave us fantastic cooking lessons on how to make authentic macaroni and Sicilian pizza, and kept us eating and laughing throughout the three hour activity. All of the food they served was delicious, including the cannoli, cheese, bread, pizza and pasta. We were treated to great bottles of wine and limoncello. This activity is a must for anyone visiting Taormina!

Loved this class! We made both pasta and pizza. We met a great group of people, had plenty to eat and plenty to drink. Would definitely do it again
