I was very pleased with this tour. First you will be able to see the giraffes very close, feed and touch them and get a presentation about the different types you will find in Kenya. Then in the elephant orphanage you can see all the baby elephants, you can touch them too and learn about their stories and why they have been rescued. Finally I went to Bomas of Kenya where I saw the different types of tribe houses and after that in the auditorium I enjoyed different Kenyan dances. My guide Patrick was awesome, very professional, knowledgeable and friendly.

First let’s start with the guide Patrick K. He was courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. On Viator there were several day trips offering similar experiences, and we had decided ahead of time that we wanted to see the Giraffe Center, the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage, the Kazuri bead factory, and the Bomas of Kenya.
We booked this day trip through Viator a couple days before leaving the US. Patrick met us, on time, at our hotel. His van was comfortable and clean. Off we went to the Giraffe center arriving just before they opened. Patrick recommended we start here first as everyone goes to the Elephant center THEN comes to see the the giraffes and it can be crowded. He was right, we were the only folks there for about 30-45 minutes and had the giraffes all to ourselves. Patrick showed us how to feed and pet the animals at once. :-. He then took photos of us with the gentle giants. Then off to the Elephant Orphanage. I have a bad knee that acted up the entire day, and Patrick was great about dropping us off close to the entrance and then parking. The baby elephants walked all around the perimeter of their enclosure so everyone had a chance to take photos. Patrick was on hand to take photos of us too. Thank-you sir! We never felt rushed or lacked time at any of the places we visited. The Kazuri Bead factory was next on our agenda and Patrick encouraged us to walk and see everything there. We had lunch afterward and went to the Bomas of Kenya which is a cultural event not to be missed. We had a big laugh at the baboons in the parking lot! The dancing and singing at the main center was great. Then Patrick arranged a guide to come with us and discuss the bomas as we walked around

The giraffes and elephant orphanage were wonderful ! Our Bomas place was closed days before we got to Nairobi. We were not informed, and a crocodile zoo was substituted without our knowledge. It was not our wish to waste half a day seeing captive animals kept for tourism. Disappointed!

I don’t have anything bad to say about this experience. Everything was great and ran on time, and they even dropped me off at the airport by the end. Kelvin was amazing! Highly recommend.

The tour of the Giraffe Center, Elephant Orphanage and the Bomas of Kenya day tour in Nairobi was money well spent and made better by the tour guide, Patrick Riama who provided a lot of information one each site. I would recommend his expertise to anyone interested in learning more about the above. Maudene Exmore VA USA

Kelvin hustled us to the perfect viewing and petting area for the baby elephants. It was shaded and we got the best footage of the little ones running for their bottles. At the Giraffe Center, he told us all about the three types of giraffes and showed us how to get “kissed” by one. His passion for conservation and knowledge of Kenyan animals really made the day special. We highly recommend this tour – and Kelvin as your guide.

This was a wonderful day of experiencing a few of Nairobi’s best places. The giraffes and elephants were delightful, and we loved seeing the Kazuri beads, and experiencing the tribal dances at the Bomas of Kenya. Our guide, Francis, was great! He was so considerate of our needs, taking special care of the oldest member of our group (making sure she found a seat in the shade). If you only have a day to see Nairobi, this is a perfect tour!

The giraffe center & Kazuri bead factory were wonderful but because of the coronivirus the Sheldrick elephant orphanage and Bombas of Kenya were closed. We understand that it was necessary to do that but Viator failed to contact us before our tour giving us an opportunity to decide what was best for us and than said we couldn’t get a partial refund. Then they wanted us to take us to a zoo and charge us more money for that. It was extremely disappointing. If we had know we could have went to those things ourselves and saved a lot of money. To top it off the two main highlights of what we wanted to see on our trip were closed. I would use Kenya Bush Expeditions from now on, not Viator. Just want to say the driver Stephen tried his best to make it a good experience.

This trip did not disappoint at all. I adopted an elephant from the Sheldrick Orphanage and our guide made sure we were the first ones through the gate. He made sure we had a great view of the feedings. I was able to point out my adopted girl. The Giraffe center was amazing. Being able to feed, touch, and enjoy these beautiful animals up close was a dream. Unfortunately, the Bomas did not happen. There was a huge political rally going on where the performance was to be held. They were going to perform inside for just me and my sister and I am the one that said no. I know how it is to perform for an empty audience. All in all this was a fantastic day trip and should not be missed while visiting Nairobi.

This tour company was so professional and amazing. Grace kept in contact with me. Our driver was Pharis and he was so nice. He gave information about Kenya, was a great driver and was very patient with us. I would book with them again

Visited Giraffe centre where feeding Giraffes was a lovely experience. Centre also provided information about Giraffes in Africa.. later visited elephant orphanage where orphan baby elephants are raised in Nursery and later released in wild.. due to some political rally visit to Bomas was cancelled and instead visited Karen Blixen museum. Also visited Beads factory which works for women empowerment.. it was a nice trip but would rate it three because the operator uses vehicle which are not air conditioned.. while coming back traffic was quite heavy and with lot of pollution from vehicular emissions travelling in Non AC vehicle was not pleasant and ruins your experience.

Kelvin the tour guide was fantastic! He went beyond our expectations. I loved how he put us at the right stop at the elephant orphanage.

  15. Awit_M

It was an indictable day filled with laughter and much dancing. Our tour guide was absolutely amazing.

I was a solo traveler and Victor made feel secure and comfortable the whole tour. He explained me the itinerary and in every stop the activities involved. He gave me enough time to enjoy the experience. The average time per stop I spent was about an hour. I recommend bringing a hat for the elephant Orphanage.

  17. MeShon_W

Great tour! Titus was a great tour guide while traveling to each destination. Seeing the giraffes and elephants was magical.

  18. Maurice_F

Great experience and driver to the Giraffe Center, Elephant Orphanage and Beads Factory. The guide was on time, courteous and friendly. I would book again in the future.

  19. Gladys_D

The guide was amazing and helpful. I felt taken care of. Amazing day!!! If you have a short time to tour, this is a good option to experience a lot in one day.

  20. Torianna_F

Titus was my tour guide and he was horrible from the start. He called yelling at me from my hotel lobby at 7:51 saying I was late when I was told 8am. I went to the lobby at 7:59am.
    He is a horrible driver!
10 hour day and he didn’t have water for us. He said he didn’t stop at the office to get water.
He dropped me off to the Bomas 3 hours early and left me there while he went to drop off the other passengers.
I danced with the Bomas dancers. He knew I was there solo. Once in a lifetime experience and he didn’t take not one pic. I wanted to cry.
This company is very unorganized but if you must book, request Stephen! Stephen was my guide for a couple other tours and when he saw me with the elephants, he took pics of me with his phone and sent them on what’s app. Thanks Stephen!
