I was booked to go with other people but no-one else on my tour. I went solo. I was a bit worried but the trip was great seeing heaps of wildlife.
It was extremely cold in the morning on the drive to Lake Nakuru. The driver had his window opened and cold air was coming in the sides of the bus. I did suggest putting on the heat but he said we don’t do that.
The driver was on his phone most of the game drive, he was not as knowledgeable as other game drivers I have had. But he was pleasant and I felt safe.
There was no place to get food or food stops were not offered to me. Luckily I had a packed breakfast from my hotel, which I had to make last the whole day. The driver stopped and said he had to get something and returned I believe he returned with food. But at no time did he ask me if I needed food or drink.
The whole reason for my trip was to see rhino and flamingos which I did see (not super close, but I could see them).
Being the only person in the bus I could see out both sides. This made the tip.
All in all it was a very good trip and I would recommend it to anyone.

I visited Lake Nakuru a couple of days ago. While I enjoyed the peaceful beauty of the lake and the birds, I was somewhat disappointed because the number of flamingos was a lot less than I expected. The signature photo of the Viator tour for Nakuru Lake shows a huge flock of flamingos, but in reality, the number is fewer than shown in the photo, because of changing weather patterns. Also, you can’t get too close to the birds because of the lake so the view is from quite a distance.
