A half day is too short. The booking says the day starts at 8 and finishes around 12.
In reality the boat (a big mass tourism multi stop commute ferry) doesn’t leave until 9. You get rushed onto the island then pushed onto the boat for snorkelling and then you have 30mins remain as at 10.45 you have to be ready to get onto the return ferry again.
South sea island itself is amazing. We booked a half day with 3 kids, (3,5 and 7years) because we were worried they would get bored. But we could have easily spend a day there. There is lots to do, we loved the snorkelling! There is a covered area for the kids to play in the sand, kayaks, a small pool,… We would do it again but only for a full day.

This cruise is way too short – you leave at 9 get to the island at 9.30 by the time you find shelter get settled it’s 9.45 and they start hassling you to pack up at 10.45 . It’s a bit misleading saying half day and very expensive for such a short time on the island . We loved the island but this trip is not the right choice for the money

Great concept but have to admit by the time you arrive and the briefing, all you can do in the finding Nemo trip is either go in the submarine or snorkel and then your racing back for an 11 pick up – would recommend the whole day

The half day flew by. I seriously recommend staying longer here at this island, it is beautiful. The finding nemo cruise was only about 20 mins but that’s all you really need. The kids loved it. The sub is air conditioned inside which was awesome. The day starts off by being collected from your hotel, going to the marina and catching a half hour ferry to the island. You then get on to a boat which transfers you to the island. You stay on the island for about 40 mins then get on the sub. You have more spare time afterwards (about half ab hour or so) so you can snorkel or hang by beach or pool. You then get back on the boat to the ferry and it’s half an hour back to the marina and back to the hotel. Honestly if you can, got for the day, it is seriously worth it and such a beautiful island!

We were a family group of small children and adults and the trip was exactly what we had hoped for however it was very rushed to fit the activities in. Although the children would’ve been too little for the full day tour this tour barely gives you enough time to view the coral in the glass bottom boat then to snorkel as you are leaving the island at 11.10am back to Denarau. It would’ve been ideal to have had it extended by an hour and then it wouldn’t have felt as rushed as it is. Children’s ages 1, 4, 5, 6, 7 & 8

Lovely people and beautiful setting. People were very attentive when I arrived but not when I was having a very hard time getting out the swimming area. I called for help, but no one was close enough to hear, so I missed the snorkeling boat.
The reason I bought this package was to go snorkeling, so I was disappointed. I was told I could take the next boat but then I was told it was time to leave. Better communication would have helped.
