Perfect day, everything provided and comfortable. Fish feeding was a must see.
    Snorkelling the reef was amazing.

Seeing the Great Barrier Reef was amazing! Let alone the way quicksilver showed us. The staff were so nice and welcoming! So easy to talk to if you had a question or just to have a chat. The activities for the day were so amazing and fun and they made sure you knew of the schedules for the day so you didn’t miss out on anything. Would definitely recommend this to anyone!!

Fantastic day , great experience. Very helpful crew . Very informative. Thank you for a great day ..

I have difficulty walking & a number of health issues. Every member of the crew is attentive and helpful. It’s a large and intimidating ship but from the Captain through to the crew everyone is friendly welcoming and safety is a focus. The pontoon is larger than any one I have seen, it’s a structure out at the reef. It even has a ‘lift’ to lower someone like me into the water. It was great, but slightly out of my comfort zone to be immersed into the reef & see some coral and fish. I think it’s better to go twice in order to prepare for the experience.

The staff were amazing, facilities at the reef were well organised and the food was delicious! Would definitely do again!

  6. Sally_T

Lots of ways to see the reef 🙂 Large pontoon catered really well for the 300 people. Never had to wait for an activity.

  7. Vicki_M

Very professional operation with friendly and helpful staff. The pontoon is great and the coral and fish spectacular. Really enjoyed the mini submarine experience.

  8. Maz_R

Details mentioned 3.5 hours on the pontoon. We only got 2 hours 40 min. Would love to have more snorkelling time.

The semi-submersible is such a great experience for non swimmers and swimmers alike. My mum (who can’t swim) had a great day on the reef. As for snorkelling, as soon as you poke your head down you see beautiful coral and fish. The buffet lunch was tasty enough, the staff super friendly and helpful and made sure we didn’t feel lost or unsure about what to do – important for first time snorkellers! The pontoon makes it easy to have a break.

Snorkelling with Lucy, the Marine biologist was interesting and fun.
Food was good and it’s a very well organised tour. Very professional.

Amazing ,well run and organised , friendly helpful staff, delicious lunch!the reef was beautiful, we even saw a turtle!

  16. Sophie_L

Great trip! Succeeded my expectations. We went out on a nice and tidy cruise boat, was fed all day, lunch was like a Christmas lunch. The day was perfect, and you had plenty of time to snorkel and relax. Snorkelling was unreal, the only thing I would say is that we wished we could have gone to different spots to snorkel as we were located in one designated spot, but other then that it was amazing! I suggest taking a go pro which we unfortunately did not do.

  17. Jason_R

Great experience. Just enough time to do it all. Lunch was great and drinks at the bar reasonably priced. Staff very helpful and polite. Do the short helicopter scenic flight out there. Beautiful view. Highly recommend.

Fabulous scenic trip from the Marina to the GBR
The Helicopter ride over the Reef absolutely awesome 👏
Snorkelling fantastic plenty of staff on board to help out.

The trip on Quicksilver was fabulous! The boat is spacious and comfortable and the platform is also very spacious and comfortable and well organized. All of the staff were friendly and kind. The buffet lunch was good. The snorkeling was great! They explained everything clearly how to use the equipment and how to check it was the right size. Getting the various gear was simple and easy, everything was so well organized. There were bouys around the snorkel practice area and around the outer area containing an incredible portion of the reef. I felt safe at all times with a lifeguard surveying the whole area. Everthing was included in the trip except there was an extra charge for the underwater camera rental which they provided on board. We got to keep the photos and videos on a mega-gig SD card.
They warned us not to expect the reef to be as colourful as seen on TV without camera lights. But it was very colourful! – so close under the water and brilliant purples, blues, oranges, whites, yellows, pinks. So many beautiful fish. and I actually saw a large shark swimming under me!
The whole day from beginning to end was perfect. Thank you Quicksilver. This was a bucket-list trip for me and you made it perfect.

Aboard the 1st cruise ship visit to Arlie Beach by the Celebrity Eclipse in Nov 2024 where we came half way across the world to visit the famed Great Barrier Reef, but when all the ship’s excursions were booked already, we had $225.50 taken from us by Ocean Rafting and Viator when they knowingly took our reservation for it’s 8:45 am tour with the knowledge our ship’s tendering disembarkation was at a further location than the 100 meters walk that we were told when we made the query through the Viator pre-booking process. As those who have been on cruise ships, the Internet connectivity is extremely poor or non-existent except for the most basic of text content, so we were not aware that the new arrival location was not served by Ocean Rafting’s pick up van until we sailed into range of the shore Internet. We attempted to work with Ocean Rafting to take an available no-show spot on it’s 10:15 am tour since we were standing there at 10:00 am but we were told the raft was 100% full, even though we had seen other parties from our cruise ship who had booked for that time were not aboard that nor were they able to show up in time for that raft’s full capacity departure. From the talk of others on the way back on the ship’s bus as we returned to the ship after having our hopes to visit the GBR using Ocean Rafting, many of us who booked with Viator for the 8:45 and 10:15 am snorkel adventures had their hopes dashed by Ocean Adventure from Arlie Beach. We come from across the world after 3 years since our original Australia trip was terminated by the pandemic to find Ocean Rafting taking our US$225.50 which Viator is allowing to continue it’s seemingly predatory business practice. So fair warning to you when you are considering going with this company – prepare for a huge disappointment!!!!
