Absolutely fantastic trip from the moment we were picked up until we were left off. Nice mixed crowd of friendly people on the trip and Carlo the guide was so friendly and informative. His English and knowledge was superb! The visit to the Gambino winery really exceeded our expectations. The sommelier clearly knew what he was talking about and the wine and food were off the scale! The visit to the farm for lunch was again such a great experience. Couldn’t recommend this trip enough!

Carlos was a knowledgeable, friendly guide, with great driving skills in Taormina’s small, narrow, curvy streets, even before going up the hills of Etna to the wineries. The tour went to two beautiful spots: a winery and an agriturismo for lunch. All in all a fun day.

This has to be one of the best trips ever! There was nothing that Antonio our wonderful guide did not know about wine making on Etna.
The visit to the Gambino vinyard was fantastic, with an excellent selection of wine/ cheese/ olives/ bread to taste.
The staff at the vinyard were also brilliant and new their stuff!
The typical Sicilian restaurant visit in the afternoon for a delicious lunch was also a real treat.
The other guests of Simi and Stephanie and Chloe and Jamie were also the perfect company for a fab day out!
If you go on one trip, make it this one.

Our guide Antonio was excellent, with so much good information about the Taormina area, the wines, and agriculture. The Gambino winery provided a very nice pairing of food and their wines.( US travelers, beware that not all states will accept wines shipped from Sicily. ) I would recommend this tour!

We had gone on this tour pre pandemic & it was memorable so we were excited to share the experience with our friends. It was a disappointment. Our driving guide was wonderful but the tour at the Gambini Winery was so disappointing. The Gambini spokesman droned on and on about the grapes etc… nothing useful to remember… almost 45 minutes before we got to the tasting. The the previous time the spokes person explained the pairing with each wine… this time the Gambini person jumbled all the information at once so none of it was useful. There was no personal touch … just another tour group. The first time we experienced 3 wineries this time only one. The lunch was ok.

This tour was fantastic, and the highlight of our time in Taormina. Orazio is an excellent tour guide—he was thoughtful, engaging, informative, and fun, and took the time to explain everything to us about Etna and the surrounding area, as well as general life and customs in Sicily. We loved the winery (the location is stunning) and the restaurant we went for lunch was the best meal we’ve had on our trip so far. The group size is perfect, and we loved getting to know the other travelers. Length of the tour is also great—not too long, but not too short. Would highly recommend.

I enjoyed this tour very much. If I could have done anything differently, I would have just done the first part of the tour which was the Gambino winery tour. The second part was an additional 40 minute drive and felt really out of the way to go just for the food. The food, however, was fantastic. The driver was very friendly, and when she found my cell phone I accidentally dropped in the van, she made sure to find me and return it to me which I really appreciated.
