This was an excellent tour which we thoroughly enjoyed. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable. And, the van was very comfortable.
Our favorite part of the tour was 1) being able to walk through the excavated site of old Ephesus and 2) the authentic Turkish luncheon.
Being able to connect all this to biblical history was enriching.

No van was waiting at terminal. There was a Viator representative there that arranged a tour. After a 20 minute wait a wonderful tour guide, Arzu, came and saved the day. This is the third Viator booking that I have had a problem on. Not happy.

Senem was our tour guide for the day, and I don’t know if it could have been better. She was very knowledgeable and answered all questions thoroughly. With her pleasant demeanor, sense of humor, and wonderful English, we all had a great time. We will surely ask for Senem Kotooglu again next time we are in Turkey!

Best tour of our entire trip! Alex was so knowledgeable and informative, very engaging. He was able to customize our visit to include terrace houses (small fee). We had a surprising amount of time to take in the sights. Even though I had requested “no shopping”, he was able to secure a “demonstration only” at the carpet school, and I’m soooo glad he did! Included lunch was local and delicious! Wish I could give more than 5 stars!!

We booked 3 tours on our own as part of our Mediterranean cruise and Ephesus was the highlight! The ancient city is stunning and our tour guide, Tunc ilada, was absolutely fabulous. He had our attention and interest the entire tour and was knowledgeable on various aspects of the history and culture. We were traveling with our toddlers and were so thankful for his patience and gentleness with them. The food at the restaurant he took us to for lunch was excellent and also child-friendly. He gave us local recommendations for shops and eateries we could visit on our own after the tour, which were also top-notch. We hope to have the pleasure of doing another tour with Tunc in the future.

This was an amazing tour. As a Christian family we loved seeing the spots where Paul was. Our guide, Billy, was perfect. It was truly a private tour – our family of six were the only ones.
The van was comfortable and air conditioned. We were picked up just outside the cruise terminal on time.
The lunch was an added bonus – Billy took us to a school where they are teaching the craft of weaving rugs and we toured it after dinner. We learned about silk and the way they get the silk and it was super interesting.
They sell rugs there at great prices (still expensive but these are exquisite rugs) and will ship to USA. The owner was a real salesman so very proud. I finally had to cut him off after 30-40 mins and say we weren’t going to purchase and he graciously and immediately paused the sales pitch and we were on our way.
Nothing really exciting about the “supposed” house of Mary but the legend around it was fun. Ancient Ephesus however, was a trip highlight.
100% recommend.

This tour offers a nice way to see Ephesus in a safe and pleasant way. The vehicle was comfortable, tour guide Orken was very nice and obviously very proud of his country and heritage, lunch was delicious, and the ruins of the Temple of Artemis were spectacular. The only thing to be cautious of is that there may be heavy sales pitches at the shopping destinations the driver chooses for you. My family was taken to places featuring rugs, leather clothing, ceramics and more and – especially at the rug shop – there were some pretty high-pressure sales tactics. So I guess our biggest suggestion is to request that your driver keep the focus on the history and unique sights rather than the shopping!
