It was the best tour in our Mediterranean cruse. Very interesting, well planned, and organized. Highly recommend for everybody.

Our guide was out standing. He was extremely knowledgeable. having worked as an archeologist himself. He made sure that we were comfortable and safe the whole trip. We would ask for him as our guides any time we are in the area.

Excellent tour of Ephesus ruins. Good communication before the tour with pick up scheduled outside customs at Kusadasi port after departing from my MSC Cruise. Pick up was exactly on time as discussed via Viator are emails.
Excellent private tour guide, extremely knowledgeable about Ephesus ruins.
Excellent lunch provided with this tour.
I high recommend this tour and tour company, especially if departing at Kusadasi from a cruise or wish to arrange your own shore excursion for that day if you are traveling on with a cruise stopping for the day in Kusadasi.

Bulent was the most amazing tour guide. His stories and depth of knowledge are incomparable. Having a 35 year year veteran Archeologist as your tour guide is such remarkable opportunity. He is a super friendly man and treated us so so well.
Visiting Ephesus is an amazing experience, but visiting it with Bulent is unforgettable!!!!

This was incredible! Our guide was amazing! Highly recommend. We had the day to choose our path and it was perfect. We can’t say enough about how
    magical this was!

Tour was excellent!! The guide Fusun was waiting for us right at the port exit with a great driver in a spacious van. She was an amazing guide, she was very kind, knowledgeable and had a great attitude. She walked all around the ancient city with us and accommodated to bring us to the house of Virgin Mary. The tour included a great taste of typical Turkish cuisine and Tapestries …We recommend this tour 100%.

We were part of a cruise ship- but I am SO GLAD we did this private tour instead! We arrived at Ephesus before the remainder of the cruise ship, got a descriptive tour. We had a traditional Turkish lunch which was delightful! Then went to the carpet wholesaler- (he was a little pushy and we ended up buying a rug) but watching how the carpet is made was very interesting! Our Guide was very polite and personable, she tried to get us the best deals possible where possible. I feel we had a much better experience then those who went on the typical shore excursions from the ship.

Ms. Fusun was Magical! Fusun met us as we came off the ship and carted us off in time and space, transporting us to our tour of Ephesus some 2000 years ago.
We (my wife and I plus a newly found friend, Jack) climbed aboard a comfortable Mercedes van and whisked away to nearby Ephesus. On the way there, our guide, Fusun (which translates as “magic” in Turkish, explained the history of the region and clarified what we wanted to see. Our tour was entirely customable — we wanted to spend more time at Ephesus (since we had been here before, some 9 years ago, and wanted to spend more time understanding what discoveries had been made and what new things had been learned).
Fusun was an expert — pointing out many things, including the new discoveries and took us to the active archeological sites — and had the right amount of energy for us. She was able to point out the new rooms and things uncovered and better understood about the Terrace Houses, as well as explain the plans for reconstruction over the next 30 years, as currently planned.
(BTW, bring water and consider an umbrella as there is little shade in Ephesus…we spent nearly 4 hours there and yes, there are a few vendors from whom you can buy drinks if you don’t bring in water.)
After Ephesus, our driver took us safely to drive by several other sites we had seen before, bringing back memories of our first time to the area, and then to lunch.
We really enjoyed the lunch and received some insights about the current challenges living in Türkiye. Some of which are universal — raising children and wanting the best for them as they become adults, their refugee problem, and how their government tries to provide services — which we could relate. The place they took us to sold carpets — some very beautiful ones — which if we did not already have 9 carpets, we probably would have a dozen or more!
If you are looking for a custom journey from the city of Kusadasi, Fusun and the Samyeli travel team has the magic (carpet) ride for you!

This was one of our favorite tours on our cruise. First we had a large Mercedes van to ourselves (4 people) and a private tour guide that we really liked named Fusun. She was warm, friendly, and very knowledgeable of Turkey and the Ephesus ruins. We thought the ruins were spectacular and very worth the visit. We also went to a rug and leather goods warehouses. The quality was amazing for both and we ended up getting both a Turkish rug and leather jacket.

I really can’t say enough about our Ephesus tour or our tour guide, Fusun through samuelitravel. They actually called me at home before the tour to introduce themselves and to welcome us to Turkey! Fusun was waiting for us as we arrived from our ship and rode in a beautiful, comfortable van to ancient Ephesus. Fusun led us on a very personalized tour through the ruins. It was wonderful and we learned so much about this ancient site. Fusun was excellent at accommodating our needs and interests. It is obvious that she is extremely knowledgeable, as she actually trains other guides. I felt that we hit the jackpot with our driver and our guide Fusun. She tailored our tour to our interests, so we were able to visit a Turkish bath, which was the ultimate pampering experience. Finally, she made sure we made it back to our ship in plenty of time. All in all, this was an A + + experience. I found everyone in Turkey to be gracious and welcoming. I can’t wIt to return!!!

Excellent beyond words. Our guide, Fusun, made it feel like we were with a friend the entire time. The meeting at our port was easy and the conversations flowed as we took a short walk to our transportation.

We had a delay in our tour and they were very accommodating and helpful. Your was wonderful – informative and beautiful places. Love the Turkish Baths. It was great seeing how the beautiful rugs were made. Anduncg was delicious. Highly recommend!

The guide (Fusun) was awesome! She arrived at the port at the time requested to pick us up!
The tour was just my wife and myself and the
Guide with a driver! It was exceptional! Fusun took her time explaining everything in Ephesus, and answered all our questions as we walked along!
Lunch was in closed and we went to a carpet factory where the carpets are made by local women in the eastern part of the country! They teach them to make handmade carpets the old fashion way! It was a great experience!
Lunch was good and they even accommodated my wife’s gluten allergy!

Excellent tour guide and driver who were friendly and knowledgeable. Our guide was very passionate about the history of his country and explained all the historic sites to us in detail. While visiting Ephesus, my wife slipped and injured herself due to the rain that day and the concern shown by our guide was very kind. He went over and above to call ahead to our lunch stop on the tour to arrange for some bandages and an ice pack. The lunch was excellent and the carpet weaving demonstration was very interesting. Everyone showed concern and compassion for my wife and her injury which I was grateful for. We also had a chance to meet the owner of the tour company who was very kind and also followed up after our tour to make sure my wife was okay. Highly recommend this company!

We had a great time on this tour. Our guide was Fusun and she was amazing. She spoke very good English so it was easy to understand all of the great information she was sharing. Our family really likes the private tours because it is a small group and we like a more intimate experience where we ask a lot of questions and move at the pace we want to. This tour was great because we had private transportation moving us around all day. When we were finished with something we got into our car and continued. The walk through Ephesus took about an hour and half. That was the biggest part of the walking. Other spots were in and out. Ephesus was very interesting and there was so much to see! The carpet stop turned out to be interesting to us as well. We never eat on excursions when lunch is provided, but it was a lovely Turkish lunch and everyone was able to enjoy the meal. We learned a lot of history, tried some new foods, had time to shop, and didn’t feel totally wiped out at the end (due to the car). We could have tried a Turkish bath (and almost did) but we headed back to the ship instead because we were tired. So thankful for Fusun who was the best tour guide. We love it when we get so lucky with amazing tour guides!

We enjoyed the entire Tour, but we especially loved visiting the ruins of Ephesus. A guide was very knowledgeable and accommodating. We would highly recommend her.

  18. Don_L

I like the lunch and the guide speaks very good English. She explains the details of history on the sites.

We absolutely loved this tour! Our guide Volkan was very knowledgeable and kept a book of pictures so would could visualize the ruins. This helped us tremendously! We enjoyed being with him and learning so much about the Turkish history! The whole experience was wonderful! Would definitely recommend this tour.
