Watching Tumi track the rhino prints in the mud & leading us right to them was pretty cool. He also was able to track a pride though it wasn’t as successful. We did, however, have multiple hippo sightings & all of them were out of the water.
It was disappointing not to really get close to the elephants or see any of the big cats but considering the weather conditions, Tumi did an excellent job of giving us a memorable experience

Well organized safari tour from J’burg! Everything was perfect, from pick-up to drop-off. Guides were really nice. You have about 6 hours of safari in the national park, including great lunch. Would defenitely recommend if you’re looking for a safari in J’burg area! We saw rhinos & elephants of the big 5, and also some other animals as giraffes, zebras, bamboo money & blue wildbeast.

Everything was well organized and all guides and drivers were extremely kind, talkative and informative!

Overall it was an ok safari experience. Hosts were very courteous and knowledgeable.
It is approximately 2.5 hour drive from Jannesburg to the safari park. Van seats were very small and uncomfortable. Lunch was bad.
I wish the tour operator can improve transportation.

The bus arrived 35 minutes late to pick us up and then the driver delayed the departure by another 30-40 minutes. The bus to Pilanesberg was extremely uncomfortable, with a metal bar where your knee hits in front of you! We arrived late at the park and only were there for 5 hours total to see the animals and we only saw 2 out of 5! The toilets were disgusting, the roads full of pot holes giving us motion sickness. The customer service at Viator was useless!

Although the seats on the pick up van were very uncomfortable due to llimited leg space and the long ride, once we gort to the actual park it was great. The entire experience in the park and the Guide was memorable, he made sure we saw an experience the wildlife at its fullness. The Guide was well versed, friendly and very knowledgeable. I
highly recommend this Safari. Beautiful surroundings, plenty of wildlife in a comfortable open vehicle.

The tour operator to the actual park was not great. The van is very cramped and also despite numerous complaints about the air conditioning not working (~2.25 hours to and 1.5 hours back) the driver realized the heat was on and turned it on for the remaining 1.5 hours back. Extremely uncomfortable ride. The safari itself was incredible and our tour guide was great! We only saw 2 of the big 5 and sadly no lions but overall it was an awesome and informational experience!

Friendly driver and guide. Everyone worked hard to find animals. Carnivores were quite elusive although we saw only a small pride of lions from about 100 meters away – had to use binoculars. Herbivores were much more visible. Giraffes, rhinos, hippos, zebras, elands, wildebeest and wart hogs were visible with our naked eyes. The morning started off chilly and misty but as soon as the sun came out, we were able observe the terrain. The afternoon was warm and were a variety of birds too. It was a generally enjoyable safari though it lacked sightings of leopards, cheetahs, wild dogs, hyenas and elephants – a bit disappointing. Lunch was a bit scanty. Overall, it was enjoyable.

Fast and on-time pickup and transfer, the game drive at Pilanesberg National Park, led by a very experienced and welcoming guide, offered very close encounters with many different wild animals.

We did the Ultimate Pilanesberg Day Trip and we enjoyed it very much. We were picked up right on time at the hotel, picked up other guests and headed to the park, about a 3-hour drive from Jo’burg. We were then handed off to our safari guide at the entrance of the park and had a day full of wildlife sightings. There was an hour break for lunch followed by another couple more hours of driving through the park. At the end of the safari our driver was waiting for us at the park entrance and we drove back to Jo’burg.
There’s a stop to use the restrooms each way about half way through the drive to the park and you can also get food.
Overall it was an awesome day-trip and very very convenient as you pay for the tour and everything is included (transportation, park entrance fees, the safari drive and lunch).
    Definitely recommend booking this tour!

We had an amazing day starting with an early pick up directly in front of the door. As soon as we arrived at the park our driver gave us a short briefing on how to behave in the vehicle. We were very lucky to see so many great animals!

We had an amazing adventure and got to see most animals including the elusive Buffalo. Unfortunately the cats didn’t want to be sociable so didn’tsee them this time. The elephants however were in abundance with a real close up encounter. Our guide had eagle eyes spotting animals we would never have noticed.
It really was a great day……Thank you for helping make an unforgettable memory 🫶🏽

On time pickup followed by a long but easy ride from Joberg to the game reserve. We had an exceptional time with an utterly terrific expert guide Mr. T who was extraordinarily knowledgeable and patient as we searched for the many majestic animals the park had to offer. Ultimately we saw 3 of the big 5 and a plethora of other incredible creatures-not a dull moment at all! Can’t wait to go back and see everything we didn’t see today! 10/10 would def recommend!

It was a wonderful experience. One felt very safe. Our driver “ Beni” answered all our questions, explained a lot and made a big effort, for us to see as much as possible. Lunch was good. Would recommend this trip to everyone.

We were picked up at our hotel and driven to Pilanesberg by Thabang. The minibus was new and well maintained. Thabang was a very good host and managed to get the whole group to introduce themselves. He also explained/pointed out places/areas of interest.
Upon reaching Pilanesberg we all boarded various open-air trucks, ours was driven by Shumba (picture added). In the morning we managed to see, white rhino, lioness, elephant herd, giraffe, zebra, kudu, impala etc.
Unfortunately, after lunch we saw nothing or exciting. As you can imagine the animals rest under the shade and out of the sun. Regardless, I would go again, and again and again, just to see the animals and hope to catch one I had not seen before.
The return journey had a little detour in my view to a market, rather than a direct return to Johannesburg which made the trip longer than expected at the end of a long day.
I thoroughly enjoyed the trip and the whole service provided was great. I would definitely recommend this tour from my experience.

Very well organized. On time, reliable and great communication.
Fantastic safari, got to see 3 of the big five and enjoyed everything else as well. Great guide.

Excellent trip! Witnessed a zebra hunt by 3 lionesses which luckly failed, but amazing. Worth doing the trip no matter.
