The bus ride and river cruise provided us the opportunity to see Zurich. We enjoyed the Lindt Chocolate factory; in addition to sampling all the chocolate we wanted, hearing and reading about the history of chocolate was very educational. Downside: there were 43 tourists; too much for one guide. We were supposed to meet the guide in the lobby at a certain time for the return to the bus station. We never found the guide, so we had to catch the train back to the center of the city. It turned out to be a good experience that otherwise we would not have done.

This experience was amazing and it’s worth more then 5 stars, The best of switzerland tours is by far the best

I had a wonderful experience on this tour. Viator was great with helping me book my ticket and our guide Francesca was amazing she went above and beyond to make the experience memorable. She was also very knowledgeable and had lots of great tips on what to do in Zurich. I would highly recommend this tour.

The Guide was very informative throughout the tour. It was also nice traveling throughout the city by different transportation modes.

Our Tour Guide, Mr. Peter is a very knowledgeable person, basically born in Swiss and knows everything about Swiss.
At the end of the tour, he even helped many participants find their way back to airport, hotel etc, by showing the right public transport/combination to be used. My hotel was walking distance from the start/end point, but most had to find their way back somewhere, and Swiss cabs are outrageously expensive..
About the tour, its very scenic and if you need to see the city in one day, this is a great option. Lindt was awesome, had way too many free Chocolates!
    Good work Mr. Peter.

Enjoyed the tour would definitely recommend. I enjoyed every part of the tour, however I really had a good time at Lindt.

The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Despite the snowy weather, it was a great tour of Zürich city and ending with chocolate tasting. Highly recommend!

  8. Leah_B

Fun and informative, with lots of chocolate samples. The walking tour could have been longer because I felt like there was much more to see in old time. We could have skipped the first part driving around and getting lost.
    *the guide Lars was great!

This tour is fantastic if you would like a little taste of multiple things. If you are looking for an extremely in-depth tour of Zurich, including sights and history, this may not be the tour for you because it is not designed that way.
It was a great way to get my bearings around the core of the city so that I could explore on my own afterwards. We got a little taste of some of the sights, such as the 4 Protestant churches, and a gorgeous boat ride along the lake. The final stop at the Lindt museum, just by itself, made the tour worth it for me and I am far from a chocolate fanatic.
For those looking for a more comprehensive experience of the city, I would suggest perhaps beginning with this tour to get a sense of what is around, and then try to hone in on what really interests you. For me as a traveller from Canada visiting Switzerland for a few days for work, this was perfect! I had never been to Switzerland before, and I’m generally not great at planning out activities for myself, so this was incredible because I got a taste of a number of things, and the next time I return I can focus in on the things I enjoyed most.

The walking tour was ok, not the main focus, do the historic walking tour by maria and alex – it was the best! No lunch! Eat a big breakfast! Nice cruise on the lake. Excellent guide!

  11. Chris_T

Not worth the money. Tour was rushed and despite being advertised as being in English and German, 80% of the commentary was in German. Tour operator was rude at times and not very courteous. Not enough stops.

  12. C_R

Overall tour was enjoyable. To note however that you return from the Chocolate factory by public transport and not by private coach. However the tour guide was really helpful and could give all necessary directions on how to return.

The format for this city tour is excellent. Unfortunately our guide not so much. Our German guide very very intimidating to guest. She actually walked our group right through a wedding party that was coming out of the city hall. Then instead of using this opportunity to congratulate the couple make snide comments about how they think they own everything and proceeded to park our group between the church gates and the couples obvious reception area. She even argued with the police when she was asked to move the group. Many in the group were clearly uncomfortable and placed in a bad light of being the “bad tourist”. Totally unprofessional and she was “teaching” a new guide. Disappointing for sure and a lost opportunity.

Very good trip enjoyed the Lindt factory and the boat ride across to the factory, not so sure about the Zurich Tour would have enjoyed the trip without this, although Daniel our tour guide was very good and very knowledgeable.

The Lindt Home of Chocolate is MUST SEE! First of all, learning so much about how it is all made is eye opening. Second, exploring through the building & of course buying chocolate at the end is wonderful! The lake cruise is gorgeous & the guides are super knowledgeable.

Crappy tour. Gave us bus ticket to return to different area of city and where started with no directions how to return to starting point

  17. Vicki_B

Such a beautiful place, such yummy chocolate. Highly recommend this tour. Appreciate the samples and getting to try different chocolates

  18. Andrew_R

Our guide was very knowledgable about the area and we walked around the old town and mainly checked out the churches and some facts about other buildings within the area. This was a little overshadowed with a sudden rain shower, so some information was lost as we avoided the rain. Lindt tour is nice, however this tour has A LOT of information if you are trying to learn everything so the tour time limit might not work for you/your group.

  19. Sharmila_S

Good tour overall. Liked our guide- she was attentive, making sure all in our tour were accounted for. Did not appreciate our small boat for lake tour.

Nice and informative trip. Friendly guide and easy to get to a meetup destination. If there are any changes they inform in advance, which is great and practical. Chocolate was super delicious. Definitely will recommend this tour to friends.
