Love Xcaret – an absolute must-do. We have kids and booked this ticket (Basic Full Day with Night Show) since it doesn’t include the transportation and we could taxi there later in the morning. Worked out really well, about a 15 minute taxi ride from Playa del Carmen. My kids are 6 & 8, night show totally kept their attention. If you have smaller kids, you might consider headphones as it is a bit loud.

The amusement park itself is full of animals, you can take pictures everywhere with your bracelet which you get through the entrance. At the end of the day there are about 65 photos on your bracelet (no more) and you can only buy all these photos together for 90 euros (they also make a video of it, this is 110 euros in total with video in it) what I recommend is to take a picture everywhere yourself with your mobile phone, then you will have identical pictures. I think it’s a pleasant park with lots of animals, and a beach. The show is amazingly good! (just a pity that there is a lot to pay in the amusement park) actually everything is almost extra, equal eg: snorkeling, sailing with the boat, swimming with dolphins) so even though your ticket costs 100 euros, you can only go to the animals and at the mini beach with water + doing 1 cenote (all the rest is extra to pay) the extra payment is also very expensive for activities. food in the park will also cost you 45 euros per person

Take a taxi there and back from the riu hotels after to the park 300 pesos. Bring water bottles, free water taps. Water shoes for the water activities . Underground river is very nice . At point 8 you can change , rent a locker and have your clothes brought to the end point . This goes in a closed bag with a lock. The evening show was great, get there on time, the room fills up quickly. We had the day trip to Tulum and Coba and in the show you got to see what we heard and saw during the day.
