Fernando, our driver is excellent and gave a great service to us. Edgar, our tour guide, gave us a great experience.

Oscar the tour guide was clearly experienced. It is a bilingual tour but usually they explain a whole paragraph and then switch languages but Oscar would switch between almost each sentence, which made it much more engaging than tuning out for the parts I didn’t understand.
Omar was our driver and not only was he a great driver but he made sure we all had ice cold water from his cooler whenever we stopped. Other tours don’t provide water, but this one, you can be sure that they will have ice cold water waiting for you at the van.
One thing to watch out for! It says it starts at 9, which I thought meant we could have a chill morning and be picked up at 9. As the other reviews say, this is not the case!! The activities start at 9 and you have to be picked up in advance. Check your email. They would have sent you the time for pick up. I only discovered the night before and we were getting picked up at 6:50 from Cancun. Bring snacks for breakfast.
The activities were well organized. My worst tour experience is when things feel like they’re trying to just push you to buy things. This tour was not like that. They also tell you what to bring to each location and what you can leave on the van. I never felt like I couldn’t leave my valuables in the van, but that is a personal choice.
1. Tulum was small but beautiful. The tour company had umbrellas to shade us from the hot hot sun. We tried to go in the shade but we were bit by a bunch of mosquitos so be careful! Tour is mostly self guided. There wasn’t enough time to walk around, buy stuff and get a bite to eat since the pick up place and the structures are about 15 minutes walking distance apart and we only had about an hour.
2. This cenote is a MUST SEE. It’s crowded, but the guides do a great job maneuvering groups. It is a super cool spot where the guide takes you through a bunch of sections. Some places are pitch black with only the tour guides flashlight: If you’re scared, I’d recommend staying close to the guide because in the back we sometimes turned on our phone flash light. Some parts of it are narrow and enclosed, so if you’re claustrophobic, please keep this in mind. If you’re not a strong swimmer, as long as you’re comfortable in deep water with a life jacket, you should be okay. Also, water is cold!
3. Lagoon snorkeling was fun. Visibility is not great for those who scuba, but they told us it is because it is the place where fresh water and salt water meet. There are small Caribbean fish like Blue Tang (Dory) to see.
4. Beach lunch was an absolute treat after all the activities. Alcoholic drinks are extra but they provide refreshing juices. We had time to hang out by the water before heading back to the bus.
There are bathrooms at every stop, but also from Cancun to Tulum is about 1.5 hours.
What to wear: I personally think the easiest was bathing suit underneath and an easy shirt/jogging shorts or slip on dress for women and swim trucks bottom and a sweat wicking shirt for men. The changing rooms depend on quality of the place and I didn’t want to spend time in a bathroom trying to change. For shoes, shoes that are comfortable and can get wet is probably best. You spend time getting in and out of water and walking around. I wore teva sandals which did the job.
One other note: if you can, bring a waterproof case to take pictures at the cenote and the lagoon. They sell them gift shops in Tulum, but for $40! Of course, I didn’t bring it, ended up buying but the videos captured were worth the money.
The tour was really fun and worth it so make sure you make it on the bus!

The whole thing was amazing but the cenote and beachside lunch were my favorite. Our tour guide David was awesome and so patient and reassuring.

Lori_p –
Excellent guide and van ride to attractions… the Mayan ruins.. cave swim was an adventure.. and the snorkeling was beautiful with more fish than any snorkeling trip I have done and safe calm and relaxing since it was surrounded by land so not scary

The tour was fantastic. We loved the cenote the most. Tulum was great but extremely hot, which was expected. Wear sunscreen! The lagoon snorkeling was fantastic with so many varieties of fish. The only downside was the lunch. It was not good. At that point (3pm) I would have preferred to go back to the hotel to eat.
Our driver was right on time for pick up. I do get annoyed when we have to wait for other people for pickup. It is not the companies fault, but we ran a half our late due to waiting on others.
Water bottles were provided the entire time and snacks right after Tulum which was appreciated. I would suggest taking towels and a change of clothes.
Our guide, Desiree, did a great job giving us information in the Mayans and the history of the land. We took out two teenagers in this trio and loved everything but the food! I would highly recommend this tour. You get to do a variety of activities in one day.

Our guide was Karel! You could tell he loves his job. Very charismatic and funny and very knowledgeable! The ruins were magical! Over looking the ocean was amazing. The cenote was awesome. The lagoon was beautiful but my favorite was lunch on the beach! Well worth every penny!!! Ask for Karel to be your guide!!!

Rafael is such a wonderful tour guide!! His knowledge and attention to details are applaudable. We love every part of this tour, from the quick, timely confirmation with pick up time to the cenote, lagoon, & beach!
Maria_G –
Excursion was rushed. We weren’t given enough time to see all the ruins. The guy was rushing us through. We were given 20 minutes for a bathroom break and shop. We were told if we weren’t there by certain time we would be left behind. Transportation vehicle was so crowded 12 people inside a little minivan they switched out transportation vehicle after several people complained. We spent very little time in each location.

This was an incredible tour! The tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and entertaining. She really knew her stuff. The cenote we went to was one of the coolest things I have ever done.
Haley_P –
Our guide was great and we ordered our food for the beachside lunch in the van so it would be ready for us at 2:30. They had an umbrella for us since it was so hot at the Tulum ruins and the Cenote was amazing!

We had a fantastic time on our tour. Our tour guide Azael was informative, funny, and overall a great guide. He made the whole experience better!

The sights were lovely and worth the trip. The tour guide J. made me feel uncomfortable from the beginning (“Lets all pretend to be friends today… you, not me, I work, it does not matter…”) to the end (“I only wanna see excellent reviews and smileys on the feedback sheet…”). In between standing in the chilly water of the cenote listening to exhausting explanations how stalagmites form instead of floating and enjoying, and being left behind and having to search for the group. The driver on the other hand was great, I felt safe with him. General thing: if you are not in the hotel zone you will not be picked up from your hotel and will have to make your way to and from a central point in the centre. Being picked up first in the morning and last in the evening. I don’t think that is very fair.

The perfect excursion. Very professional. We loved the guide and would recommend this when visiting the area.

This excursion with this tour company is a must! Very friendly and knowledgeable about the Mayan ruins. The cenote was very cold at first but got used to it and the snorkeling was fun too! A must for 1st timers visiting Tulum!

Learning about the Mayans. It was very resourceful. I also enjoyed going into the cave and the snorkeling.
