Really well organized. At the beginning of the trip our guide, Eleni, gave us an overview of the plan for the day. She was also sharing information about the places we were passing by on the way – as well as commentary about the monasteries we were about to visit. The guide does not come with you inside, you have time to visit and explore each place by yourself. Monasteries can get overwhelmingly crowded, which in my opinion kills the charm of those beautiful places. The views around are simply magnificent so I opted for less time inside monasteries to admire the views instead. If your clothes are not compliant to the dress code, your guide might have (Eleni did) extra skirts or long trousers to borrow – otherwise you can also borrow some at the monasteries (for a small fee). The lunch place serves really delicious food. There are 2 extra stops on the way to and from Meteoras for bathroom and getting some snacks. I’d suggest to bring enough water and some snacks with you

Meteora is an amazing place. The natural beauty is stunning. We visited 2 monastaries and got a bit of insight into the history of their founding and the faith of the residents.
The logistics of the trip went smoothely and everything was on time.
The guide was not a registered tour guide, as far as I know, but she gave good and clear explanations, pointing out places and facts on the bus. The visit to the monastaries was on our own.
The lunch break was rather long, and no provisions were made for anyone who did not wish to eat at the restaurant where we stopped. We ate the lunch that we brought with us on the wall outdside in the company of cats and had to cross the road to order a cup of coffee. I don’t know if there is any alternative.

The tour was well organised. The guide was explaining all the relevant details at the right time. Had an excellent stop to experience authentic greek food as well… Highly recommended… Meteora is a place, which needs to be visited with proper equipments to capture the beauty of the place 🙂
