David W. took us on an amazing tour to the Holy Island and Alnwick Castle! He was friendly, informative, lively, and funny. The Holy Island is a must see, we were very lucky to have a beautiful sunny day, and we could have stayed there all day! We then headed to Alnwick Castlet, David made sure we all got our tour group discount and then set us free to do what we liked. We went into the town to grab some lunch and walk around there for a bit, then back to the castle. The grounds are fantastic, we found so many different little paths that opened up to views of the castle. This tour is full of incredible history and magical scenery. We would highly recommend it and David W. as your guide.

Graham was our tour guide and he was fantastic! He told wonderful stories and history and even sang some Scottish songs. Places were great too!

Refused to refund even though a medical emergency prevented us from going. Got what seemed like standard computerized response that supposedly came from a person and pretended to actually have considered our situation.

Great trip! Had a small group which made traveling easy and fast. Our driver was funny and told us facts as we drove

Alnwick Castle and Gardens were by far the best part.
Holy Island was okay, could of missed it and would of been okay.

Wonderful driver/guide/narrator/historian with Paul! A well told story of Scotland’s history, Robert the Bruce vs King Edward. The 90 min ride home flew by. Funny and historical.

I had the perfect experience of the eastern shore with quite a lovely tour guide named Paul Henderson. Right off the bat I knew that I made the right decision booking a last minute tour when he stepped off the bus wearing a Hogwarts robe and Harry Potter glasses. Paul had handpicked several Scottish musical tunes to fit our drive in between telling us wonderful, and heartfelt stories alongside his vast knowledge of historical instances. I’m grateful to have met Paul because he is such a geek about history and Harry Potter, he was selfless enough to let me borrow his Elder Wand so I could take a picture with it inside of Alnwick Castle. If I could give his tour with Timberbush more than 5 stars, I would give it a million stars! Thank you so much for a fulfilling day!

Neil was a delightful tour guide. We enjoyed going to Alnwick Castle and Holy Island. I only wish the tour could give more time at Holy Island.

Eric was very entertaining even some of his jokes, the tour was utterly brilliant. Loved visiting lindisfarne castle it was our little pilgrimage via our school. Loved also walking over the bridge back into Scotland.

  12. Annette_H

Both the Castle and the Island were very enjoyable. Unfortunately, we had a very hard time understanding our driver as he explained some of the history of the area and gave instructions.

We had a good day. Loved Lindesfarne! Would have loved a little bit more time on the Holy Isle but it was still a good day. Alnwick was great…castle and gardens were amazing

We travel with Eric and he gave us an informative trip and went the extra mile to give us a little more.

Our tour guide, Eric, was so friendly and enthusiastic during the whole tour from start to end. He provided wonderful insights into Scottish history and lots of background information about numerous interesting attractions and locations that we passed by enroute to the key destinations. He is extremely knowledgeable and willing to answer many questions about anything regarding the tour and more. Many thanks to Eric and the driver, Paul, for bringing us safely to each location and back to the meeting point!
Pick up details were easy to follow and the staff helped to ensure we took the right coach and everything was orderly and organised. Everything was timely and on schedule. Waiting time was short as well, which was great.
We loved the scenery during the drive to the Holy Island and Alnwick Castle. Both these places were beautiful and majestic in their own ways. There was plenty to sightsee and generally we had sufficient time, although the Holy Island part felt a little rushed due to the number of things to see there, but it is a small issue. There was enough time at Alnwick Castle for sure.
Tips for travellers: Wear comfortable clothes and proper walking shoes as there will be a fair bit of walking to do at each location.
Would highly recommend this trip! It is unforgettable and must-do!

Beautiful site’s and would recommend this tour! George and the driver did a great job! However the bus had no air and got really really warm and uncomfortable as the day went on. Fix the AC and then the tour would be 5 stars. 0 for comfort due to being miserably hot.
