The tour starts at the office of the tour company. From there you will drive by Bus/Van for ca. 30-45 min. Then you get into a small boat. This only serves as a “taxi” to a bigger boat. With the bigger one you will get to the island. There you will have time to walk around and see many penguins. After that, you get back to the bigger boat and travel to an island with sea lions. If you want to take a good picture of them, you will need a good camera as they are quite far away.
After that you will get to the smaller boat, then to the Bus/Van and then back.
I get sick quite easily on a boat. However, I did not have to take a pill. The drive with the smaller boat is ca. 5 min and the bigger one is totally fine.

Nice tour with great nature experience. Before we left Isla Magdalena to see the penguins, we took the boat close to Isla Marta to watch the sea lions with their young. We had relatively calm seas, so you could watch the animals in peace. During the trip there was information about both islands and their fauna as well as instructions on how to behave on the “Penguin Island”. There was a firmly marked path that we could circle the island in 45 minutes. You get very close to the penguins. Either they cross paths or you can get a glimpse of their burrows. In addition to the penguins, there are numerous gulls that live on the island. All in all a nice experience.

It was a nice tour. Our guide told many interesting things during the tour to the island. There is a marked circular route on the island that one usually walks. Unfortunately, a part of ours was closed off. I think because of the breeding penguins. So you didn’t get that feeling of the countless penguins on the island. But there were still enough penguins to see and photograph up close. The island of Marta with the sea lions we could hear and photograph the animals from the boat. Not as close as the penguins, but still very impressive. On the way back there was a cocoa and a few biscuits on board
