We were taken to little eateries which were hidden gems. A wonderful experience for the palate! Our tour guide Marcel knew exactly where the best places were.

Such a great tour with Adam. Highly recommend- we ate delicious food that we would have never found without the tour. He is such a great and enjoyable guide – he also shared history, facts and great photo spots. 5 stars all the way! kanpai!
Jeff_C –
What a great experience! My guide Hikaru did a fantastic job throughout the tour. He took us to several hole in the wall places that I would never have gone to myself as a traveler (standing bar, standing udon shop, etc). I highly recommend this tour for folks who want get a taste of the Shinsekai area 😊, which has an entirely different vibe than Dotonbori
Barbara_B –

Take was an absolute gem! The food was some of the most delicious food I have ever tasted. He introduced us to his co-worker Adam. Who took us to a few bars after the tour and taught us more about different sections of Japan
Teodor_B –
The Osaka food tour with Adam was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and funny, both about the food and Japanese lifestyle and culture. The 5 restaurants were very well chosen and food was delicious. We were 8-9 people in the group, which was very enjoyable. Highly recommended!!
Joseline_F –
This was a great food tour with a fun guide. Would highly recommend this to start your trip in Osaka, great introduction and Thomi, our guide, had a ton of recommendations and insight.
Gina_D –
Hikaru was our guide and he was absolutely phenomenal. Hikaru was extremely knowledgable – he is a chef himself – and answered all of our questions about the foods we were trying, as well as providing cultural/historical context for Osaka/Japan. The foods/restaurants we tried were incredible and not easily discovered – it was such an advantage to tour around with an experienced local! I highly recommend this experience, and Hikaru, to anyone who is looking to immerse themselves into Osaka food culture but don’t know where to begin. Two thumbs up!
doug_d –
got to try out most of the dishes that we only heard about or watched on youtube all at one time. Otherwise, it would taken us days to get that out the way. Also, then able to decide which one’s we would try again.
Guide, Brent, was very good and took a lot of time explaining some of the history to some of the foods and/or places.
Myra_V –
A great way to easily enjoy many small eateries in the area. Brent was a fun and informative guide. The group was extremely entertaining.
Adam_T –
The food was awesome. The tour guide was very fun and accommodating. The insights into Osaka and Japan as a whole were dry interesting. All in all the best food tour I’ve done in Japan. You will have a great time.
Lin_J –
We basically hung around Tsutenkaku area and the market nearby with retro vibes. Overall the food tasted ok, including the squid ball, deep fried chickens and shrimps, udon noodle, stirred fried noodles, and some tofu soup. For the price I paid, I expected the experience a bit more than that. I didn’t learn much about Osaka either.
Josoa_A –
Food experience was great. Very informative and good to learn about where locals eat. Highly recommend checking it out if you don’t speak Japanese.
Claudia_T –
