Shinsekai is such a cool place and you need an awesome guide like Andy to fire up the evening. Really great food, fun restaurants, friendly people all around. Good for friends or meeting new folks. The food was great and the tasty beer kept flowing.

I had a blast with Andy and excellent group of 7 other people. We went to 5 restaurants, had 5 varied, large portions and 3 included drinks. It was honestly more than I could eat or drink. The best part was Andy’s sense of fun. He knows all the store owners and helped us instantly feel like welcome friends. He has great insight as a Brit who has lived most his life in Japan. Great tour, great food and drink, highly recommend!

I was in Osaka at very short notice and really wanted to get to know the local delicacies. So I spontaneously booked the tour. Andy was the perfect guide and took his time for every question and everything. We stopped in 5 foodie hotspots and a few of them included drinks. From Takoyaki to Odeon, Yakitoro, everything was there. Andy has been living in Japan for over 20 years and really knows everyone in the district.
All in all, a great tour! Definitely recommendable for those who want to explore the real Osaka off the beaten track. 80s flair i Klüver will be happy to come back.

Our host, Andy, was charming, witty and knowledgeable about the area/questions asked of him. Our five restaurants served us wonderfully delish food (there was so much food that you will not leave hungry) and the beer/saki was a wonderful addition to the meals. The time went quickly as our group got along with the others on the tour. Was sorry to see the night end. This is a good food tour to take

The tour was absolutely incredible. Andy was an amazing guide and he did a great job answering any and all questions. It didnt feel like we were a “typical” tour group where they are just concerned about money or pushing as many guests through as they possibly could. Instead, it felt unique and almost like we were being shown about the town with friends. He gave great recommendations and was open to chat about culture, politics, and economics!

Andy was an excellent guide….a very funny guy and knowledgeable of the Japanese culture. Being that he was not originally from Japan, he was able to give excellent perspective on the cultural nuances. Make sure you arrive to the tour with a healthy appetite. I highly recommend!

We just had the best time in Osaka with Andy. All the food at the different locations was delicious and amazing and we had a knowledgeable guide to top it off. We ended up the night at a karaoke with our small group which I don’t think is part of the guide but we just did afterwards it was awesome fun and memorable. Highly recommend this tour with Andy, we will definitely do it all over again if we come back and recommend to friends who come to Osaka.

I told Adam that I was only going to give him a 3 or 4 star rating because he just consistantly had 5 stars and that he might be getting a big head. Well now I know why he keeps getting 5 stars, he is great! The tour was fantastic, loads of imformation about food (obviously) but so much more about culture, people, life, and etc. I think by the end we were in a food coma. Great food and a wonderful experience. Craig & Sally.

Fantastic tour of the best local foods in Osaka, led by a local guide. The food was excellent, and the guide was even better! Andy was superb. A great chap that knows Osaka and Japan through and through. We were absolutely peppering him with questions on Osaka and Japan, both on the food and history of Japan, much of which I didn’t know at all. There was no filter on our questions and he honestly gave such thoughtful and honest answers, something that you rarely get these days. He took photos of the group and we had a lot of laughs throughout. Never would have ordered half the food we ate without his recommendation, and all were great and so different than standard westernized Japanese food. I Can’t recommend this tour enough, totally worth the $. My only regret was that I didn’t have enough cash Yen on me to give a larger tip to give this gentleman for such a great time to show my wife and I around his city. Arigato Andy!!!
