The tour was excellent and a great way to see the island. I can remember the exact names of our guide and driver (I think our guide was Dimitri?) but they were both very nice and our guide had lots of interesting facts to tell us. It was beautiful getting to see some of the villages and the mountains of the island. The swim stop was also beautiful. I will say that it’s a pretty packed day so keep that in mind if you want more time in each stop. “It takes a lifetime to discover Greece but only a second to fall in love with her” – and I couldn’t agree more.

This is an excellent way to get a sense for the island. You visit a couple of villages, a beach, and a pair of archaeological sites. You also get a pottery making demonstration and a lesson on olive pressing. In season, the tour includes a stop at an olive museum and store. The natural beauty of the Naxos is apparent as you drive up into the mountains, stop in the quaint towns, and descend toward the sea. Demetris provides a friendly and accessible narration, and Vasilis drives the bus with consumate skill. We met fellow travelers from all over, and enjoyed the entire experience.
