Unfortunately the conditions were not great and the water was very choppy. Not sure the tour should have gone ahead as was generally unpleasant given the large waves.
I’m sure if the waters were calm it would likely have been a great little trip.

Gianlucca is great and makes a bunch of strangers get together. You do a tour around the beaches, but the boat has music on and makes it incredibly enjoyable.
They look out for you, as when we were going to swim they spotted jellyfishes and they changed the spot

Avoid this tour. At least with the boat “Kristal.” This boat is too big to go into the grotto or cave. A smaller boat (20ft long, outboard) just before ours went completely inside and actually turned to the right. Our captain got the bow just to the cave openin then reversed. Also it went very slowly – idle speed for 2 hours, yawn. I was looking forward to this tour and was very disappointed.

Being unfamiliar with Sicily and Toramina I was unaware that Naxos would take either $40 in taxis round trip or 2 hours to reach. Naxos is a very, very long way away from the hilltop city of Taromania. I was unave to reach this tour and forfited the money.

This was our last activity in Taormina and a great way to end our trip. Our captain and guide were knowledgeable and entertaining, and the tour was a good balance of sightseeing, swimming (in the rain), and enjoying a little Prosecco. Definitely recommend the 2-hour cruise of the bay.
