Entry to the duomo was very easy and straightforward. Our only problem was that it was very busy so, we had to wait in a long line to climb to the top of the cathedral and then once on top we had to wait in a line to climb down. You can definitely spend a few hours at the cathedral and I would recommend the museum on a different day as there is a lot to see there as well.

It is absolutely worth making the trip up the (very) many steps to see Milan from the terraces of the Duomo and the close up level of detail in design. We had also paid for the audio-guide which was worthwhile for added context and explanation as to what we were looking at and the history of the place. I would recommend the lift pass to anyone who would struggle with a steep ascent up lots of steps though!

The cathedral is absolutely amazing and the view that opens in front of your eyes from the roof surpasses any expectation!
We visited it inside then we have to go out and look for the lift in the back side of the Dom. In 10 of november it wasn’t too crowded, so we didn’t have to wait too long.
