I took this tour on a Sunday afternoon and found the tour guide knowledgeable and very passionate about the art. He was able to give the details and history of each piece he showed us. Without his guidance and explanations I would have missed out on some of the nuances of each piece.

This was a really fun, interesting, educational and entertaining tour. Matteu was a very good guide and pointed out all the “main attractions” as well as many of the less commonly known, but significant pieces and explained what made them special. He provided a great sense of the history and development of the Louvre. Overall, I highly recommend this tour, especially as a good overview and starting point for further travels through this huge and awesome museum.
