The driver was very attentive, picked us up at the hotel on time, accompanied us from station to station and brought us back safely through the somewhat stressful rush hour traffic in Bangkok. The hike was competently guided and well explained by a Thai woman (in English and Thai, my friend is Thai). The hike was not too short and not too long at 3 hours. But you shouldn’t run around much longer in the heat. However, it is not quite as hot in the mountains. Good, worn shoes are recommended. My friend ended up with a few blisters – mistake: new shoes.

It even exceeded our expectations. One thing in advance: If you want to see elephants, black bears, etc., you should go to the zoo. In the wild, you are unlikely to encounter them. But you can see the traces of them, that they live there and we could hear some species. Breathtaking. There are also lots of beautiful colorful insects and butterflies that we don’t have. And at the end you can definitely see some cheeky animals, let yourself be surprised 🙂

The park is about 3 hrs drive from Bangkok, so you will spend a significant amount of time in a van, however when you get there you will recognize it was worth it! I was lucky enough to be alone in my group, so I could spend lots of time talking to the guides, they also let us go slightly off track from time to time to be able to spot some gibbons. Amazing day!
