Comfortable boat, very friendly crew and heaps of whales! Could not ask for anything more 🙂 Skipper Keith had excellent local knowledge and a great sense of humour, and was very respectful of the whales space. Small numbers on board made for great whale watching with no need to jostle for space!

Today has been simply amazing, from start to finish everything was perfect. The captain was so knowledgeable, pointing out things and places of interests..he could spot the whales so easily & made sure we were as close as possible to see them. The crew were also fantastic and the food was so delicious, especially the scones and profiteroles.
Today we were so lucky as the whales performed beautifully, showing off with breaches, tail slapping and being so active for us.
I would recommend this tour to anyone who wants to whale watch.

Living in Hervey Bay we always take our visitors on a whale watch tour. Freedom III is a beautiful vessel with a smaller passenger capacity, getting you closer to the whales, and run by friendly knowledgeable staff. The skipper was full of interesting facts and knew the area and his whales well. We had the most amazing experience of the whales coming up to the boat and being active for an hour or more, we stayed out an hour longer than the tour was booked for. Hervey Bay is truly the capital of whale watching. The food onboard was the best we have had on any of the whale tours. Home made scones, jam and cream, and the to die for profiter roles. Lunch included home made coleslaw, potato salad, green salad, meats, chicken, fresh bread rolls, all fresh and delicious. Afternoon tea a big platter of succulent fresh Qld fruit, along with cheese and biscuits. A well stocked bar, plenty of water, and soft drinks. We highly recommend this boat and crew and will be back.
