Most memorable ? – the terrible lunch we had at Eurong Resort – geez for $258 all they could offer was a hot buffet with garbage food – probably cooked by kids or asians. Even sandwiches would have been better. Most on the bus thought the same.

I was a bit put off by the price at first, but I can assure you that this experience is worth every penny.
The staff is amazing, helpful and super friendly. Our guide for the day day, Butch, was a fountain of knowledge. Thanks to him, we learnt so much about the island, and our only regret is not to have booked a longer trip.
I would highly recommend this trip, you won’t be disappointed.

The whole trip was done well. Mark was an expert guide who clearly loved what he does. Grateful for his expertise in driving and pointing out things we would have missed like the funnel web nest. Lake mackenzie was the highlight with the time for a swim or quick walk.

Far too much time spent on the bus. The round trip nearly 12 hours !!! Did not see one bird or animal. By far the best part was the 15 minute flight in the aeroplane which was not part of the tour and at our additional cost.

My fiance and I went on the one day tour around K’gari.
The initial pick up was a little bit late getting to our group but the marina has a coffee shop so it wasn’t end of the world to wait 15 minutes extra.
The buses have very strong air conditioning so if you feel the cold, I would take a light jacket or something to use as a blanket.
Bus itself is an experience.. I’ve never been on a 4*4 bus driven with this much ferocity/skill. It’s basically like taking a rollercoaster (in a fun way)
Went to an amazing group of locations, the sands of 75 mile beach, the red canyon, the clear waters of Eli Creek and Lake Mackenzie, the shipwreck of SS Maheno & a visit into the rainforest for a short walk. It was all amazing. You can tube down Eli creek if you want to bring a small inflatable! There’s also an optional scenic flight ($)
Couldn’t recommend this tour more! Thanks to Wayne for being an incredibly informative, respectful and entertaining tour guide (and for the dad jokes) this was a great tour
