Great staff, good experience, great way to see the sealife around green Island. Recommend this tour to anyone.
Peter_M –
The weather was perfect, the fish and turtles were plentiful. Glass bottom boat was a highlight. Excellent staff on the ferry.
leigh_s –
Facilities on the island where very basic & not able to access all of then most activities where extra cost & not cheap
Don’t feel we got value for money
Christine_C –
Lovely snorkelling although not as good as it would be further out onto others reefs
Glass bottom great for my husband (who does not swim) to see coral and fishes.
Not much to do on green island otherwise though. So we left at 2.30 not 4.30pm.
Matthew_S –
Trip to green island was great, but booking through Viator was a mistake. The website advertises Tours in dollars, when booked you are charged in US dollars. Deceiving, won’t be booking through this Agent again.
Zenaida_E –
Beautiful creature under world.
Good to know about it specially different corals fishes that very unknown that they existence in the bottom of the sea.
Karen_F –
Wonderful experience! Definitely recommend to anyone wanting to spend a day on the Great Barrier Reef.
Erin_F –
A fantastic day! The snorkeling was amazing and the island is gorgeous . The glass bottom boat was really good too.
Jody_G –
We had a great time at Green Island. The glass bottom boat and snorkelling were amazing. It is highly recommended!
Michelle_C –
Awesome day. Snorkeling on low tide is good for beginners. However the Ningaloo on the wa coast is better.
EMMA_K –
A fantastic day out for all the family! The ferry takes approx 50 mins from Cairns and even though there were showers on-shore, by the time we reached the island, it was hot & sunny
The glass bottom boat was better than we expected, there were so many fish + we saw a turtle & a couple of small ray!
Food & drinks are expensive and whilst it was relatively quiet (early October), I imagine the limited food outlets would get extremely busy in peak season, so if you can, bring a packed lunch.
Snorkels were included in our package and again we saw lots of fish on the corals, which even elicited excitement from our teenage boys!!!!
For younger kids, there is a resort style pool, so everyone is catered for.
We also did the short bush walk (approx 30 mins return), which takes you around along a boardwalk path to the other side is the island and includes a few information boards.
We were back in Cairns in time for dinner
Definitely recommend!

Not interesting.
We couldn’t snorkel due to low tide.
For lunch, just for a salad with 4 small pieces of chicken, we waited over half an hour, we paid aud30 per person and there was no place to sit, so we had to sit on the ground.
Don’t take this trip.

The island is so beautiful, I’d recommend snorkelling by the pier as we saw a few turtles (no coral though). The glass bottom boat was really cool, got to see some coral on that. The only downer was the loading on the return trip, they asked us to arrive 20 mins prior to departure so we waited in the heat in a long line..they then told us they were boarding from the middle of the pier so everyone who arrived first and waited the longest were the last to get on, people were pushing and yelling at each other, they probably should’ve let the people on first who were waiting the longest.

We expected to snorkel over Great Barrier Reef but must have misread the ad. Disappointed not to have done it. Also we were unable to have coffee on our ride.
Helen_R –
Had a lovely time, the boat ride was great, the staff were friendly
Approaching the island it was stunning
Only thing I probably wouldn’t do glass bottom boat next time, I’d stick to the guided snorkel trip as we got to see lots more stunning fish and coral
JM_G –
Green Island is quite a tourist trap. Admissions and food were very expensive. However, it was wonderful to be able to see the Reef, some of the local birds (which we had never seen before) and find out about fresh water and saltwater crocodiles. The beaches were beautiful. We also managed to see several turtles swimming around the island; other people we encountered, saw a shark.
The journey over to the island was quite choppy. A few of the passengers appeared a little seasick.

We enjoyed the glass bottom boat as we did not want to go in the water. We were also happy that we added the use of the resort pool. The food options were very good. The walking path through the island was very nice.

The whole experience was great.
Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
My daughter and I had a lovely day and we will recommend to our friends.
Thank you

Glass bottom boat tour of section of the reef. Many corals, fish, anemones. Even giant clams..
A lot more manageable if physically challenged than snorkeling….also cooler as don’t have wear suit for stingray protection

Glass bottom boat, the Crocodile sanctuary and swimming in the pool were all fabulous! Great day out. Will definitely go back again!
