The boat appeared old and a little worn/tired.
All passengers were kept on the lower decks. The top deck was never opened, yet on the way out to the pontoon, the seas were calm. Not so on the return, there was a fair swell running. I can perhaps understand the top deck being closed….but no really. Quite a few were sick on the return, and I believe that if more were given access to fresh air the sickness problem would have diminished. We were not offered any reason for the upper deck closure.
The lunch food offered was adequate, not exceptional.
Moore Reef did not offer any fantastic views. It actually lacked any real colour & fish activity was no evident.

This is definitely a must do experience in Cairns. There are so many helpful staff members and so well organized. We were able to experience all the extras helicopter ride, guided snorkel tour, bottomless boat experience, and even had 1 who didn’t want to get wet and she didn’t. And she still got to experience seeing the reef and wildlife in living there!!! The only issue is make sure you buy the motion sickness pills and take them before you leave. Other than that it was the best experience I’ve ever had!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!! Thank you!!!

We stopped at Fitzroy Island on the way to drop off passengers and the views were spectacular. Had an amazing time snorkelling on the GBR. We decided not to wear a life vest this time and it was so much more enjoyable. You don’t need to be a great swimmer because salt water helps you float so it’s not that tiring. We saw many beautiful fish and other sea life. The boat itself needs some maintenance, we were a bit disappointed with the shabby look. Last time we went with a different company and their boat was much nicer. Having said that they did not have a pontoon. Food was very average. All in all it was about the snorkelling so I tried to ignore the rest when rating the experience.

We are an older couple, late 60’s and went with our daughter, her partner and our 6 year old grandson. This is the third time my wife and I have done this cruise and each time it has been excellent. The boat is very comfortable and the pontoon is well set up. All five of us had a great time snorkeling over the reef. The buffet lunch was excellent, fresh and tasty and there was lots of food with a good variety to choose from. The prawns were exceptional. Would definitely do this trip again and highly recommend it.

My husband and I really wanted to try scuba diving. I cannot swim and am scared of water. The Sunlover team gave us extra attention and our instructor, Jack, was very supportive, professional and patient. With their help, we managed to get the experience of a lifetime! Thank you Sunlover Reef Cruise Team! We also saw a lot of coral with the semi submarine. The buffet lunch was also very delicious. We had a wonderful time

We did the sun lovers reef tour and saw a number of turtles and some amazing fish well worth it.. kids enjoyed the experience and it was very save with the life jackets and stinger suits.. good number of people on board so it didn’t feel busy at all.. also lunch was pretty good so all round a great day.
