Milford Sound was absolutely an incredible experience, we chose to fly & cruise to save on driving & time.
This was by far the best decision we made during our time in New Zealand.
A plane with 14 people with their own window to view such spectacular wonders.
The pilot was very knowledgable, and flew us over amazing snowy mountains.
The cruise just as wonderful, with stunning views & the most amazing waterfalls too.

Milford Air were very professional and provided a fantastic flight and cruise package to Milford Sound.
The road to Milford Sound was still closed after last weeks flooding, and we had heard that the cruise boats and cruise ship weren’t using the sound due to excessive driftwood, so we phoned them a couple of days in advance to find out the situation.
They were honest and told us that, although they were flying in and out of Milford airport, the cruise boats weren’t operating, but they were reviewing the situation the day before our scheduled flight. They said to phone as normal 24 hours before the flight for an update, and if the cruise option was still not available, we could have an alternative flight or full refund.
Fortunately, when we rang, everything’s no was on and the weather forecast was favourable, so we were very happy. By the following evening, we were ecstatic, as the weather couldn’t have been better and the flight and cruise were amazing.

Tomo was our pilot. A spectacular flight with great commentary. The cruise was amazing too. We were lucky enough to see dolphins and seals.
Great value for money and at 4hours 30mins, the right amount of time to experience the magnificent Milford Fiords. Loved it!
