Awesome inspiring experience!! Plane journey over (and back again!) was incredible … Being so close to these amazing peaks!
Milford Sound itself was even better in “real life”… Photos don’t give you the full grandeur of the place…. Epic. And thanks to Andy our really friendly pilot !
All in all an amazing trip… Not a full day though, only about 4 to 5 hrs.

Absolutely worth every penny! We were lucky enough to have spectacular weather with sunshine and clear blue skies. The pilot, Andy, was fabulous with a smooth take off and landing. The views while crossing over the mountains and into Milford Sound were incredible. The bay cruise was also amazing with so many water falls it was hard to count. We also saw yellow bearded penguins and fur seals. The day could not have been better! And this method took a total of 4.5 hours versus 12 when driving out and back. Do it!

After reading so many overwhelmingly positive reviews about this experience, I bottled my fear and bullied my husband into this flight and cruise to Milford Sound. It was without a doubt one of the most amazing experiences of my life. I surprised myself by NOT screaming at all during the flight. Take off and landing were smooth and there were hardly any bumps. Flying through valleys looking up at snow-covered peaks was astounding. Dropping down into, and flying the length of, Milford Sound was breath-taking. The boat trip was informative, comfortable and felt very safe. Our timing coincided with a cruise liner arriving. What appeared so large on approach was quickly dwarfed as it entered the sound. Our pilot Leon was attentive and very competent (although I could hear nothing of his in-flight commentary). I would recommend this day trip to anyone.
