From start to finish this was one of the best experiences I had in Dubai. Our guide was amazing and so informative but also really friendly. I came away from the tour with a feeling like I had a real knowledge & understanding of not only Dubai but it’s place in the UAE. My tour was amazing from beginning to the end. I originally booked a Old Dubai tour with someone else but when my flight was delayed on top of lost luggage they were buttheads and didn’t allow me to move it. But I’m glad they didn’t because I was able to be shown Old Dubai by Mahmoud. He was the best and took care of us tourists with such hospitality and care. I definitely feel like I got my moneys worth.

We were lucky enough to be the only ones on the tour and so had all of Abdalla’s time and so learnt so much about the Emirates, Dubai and old Dubai. The visit to the old fort and the house with its traditions wiht the coffee and tea was most enlightening.
The information on Islam and its foundations, believes and outlook was also another great way to better understand the people of the Emirates, values and traditions.
Abdalla also got us some snacks and drink on our way which was well timed and enjoyable . The tasting and viewing at the little spice shop was a highlight for me as well and you must try the chocolate dates and little rocks.
It was a very enjoyable tour with Abdalla and I would highly recommend it to anyone.

A fantastic tour with a knowledgeable, engaging and personable guide ‘Mahmoud’ who imparts his knowledge of Dubai, old and new with enthusiasm. Our guide answered every question with knowledge and depth- The pace of the tour was perfect and the secrets of the market and bargaining tips ; a real bonus. Mahmoud has great energy, is incredibly articulate (in multiple languages!), and really knows his stuff. Overall, the location is fascinating and worth checking out, but totally intended for tourists.

Great experience: Mahmoud was an excellent guide! His subject knowledge, delivery and personality were very comforting. His command of several languages was extremely impressive. On our tour, he switched, seamlessly from Italian to English and then to Arabic, real time and was able to explain things to all. It was very impressive. If you can, please book this tour! Our guide was so friendly and knowledgeable about the historical area, the souks and the history of Dubai. We enjoyed delicious freshly made fruit juice in a Cafe overlooking the vibrant creek area. We were also given some freshly made hot Middle Eastern and Indian snacks to enjoy at our leisure. Some tips on how to bargain were appreciated.

This is a completely unnecessary tour. There’s not much history and the walk about its mostly around the newly build fake” Old Dubai”. The guide took us into couple of “houses” that were just set up to promote Dubai. We did not find this interesting at all and felt this was a tourist trap.
You can walk around your own and possibly have the same experience- save your money.

1st time visitors should book this tour! It is a wonderful introduction to Old Dubai, its history and culture. The guide Mahmoud is knowledgeable and friendly, providing us insights and making sure everyone was engaged. He had umbrellas for us so the rain did not affect the experience at all. He was lovely to my 7yo son which made everything more enjoyable – I was worried that the tour might be too much/boring for him but he loved it thanks to Mahmoud!

Our guide Mahmoud was fantastic, very enthusiastic. Made sure we understand everything. We were taken to some very interesting shops on the way where they explained everything about their products. Only negatives were at the souks when not with the guide but during the tour, the sellers are very aggressive and intimidating. Wouldn’t advise going solo. Also the meeting place needs to be made clearer. Definitely recommend and excellent value for money.
