Saro was an amazing guide. Very knowledgeable of the environment and history of Mt Etna. Hiking gear was provided. The hike was not difficult. Lunch was lovely. Highly recommended if you want to visit Mt Etna as you don’t have to worry about anything from the time of pick up to the time of drop off.

Tony our guide was a great asset on the tour. A real enthusiast and raconteur. He made the tour fun and informative. The meal was very good as was the wine. Thoroughly recommend.

Daniele took us on the most memorable day of our trip, and one we will take home with us and cherish. He picked us up in Taormina and we soon learned that it was snowing in Etna, so he provided us with warm jackets and proper shoes (this was very appreciated!!!). The hike was somewhat difficult due to the elements (snow and wind), but it was well worth it and he made us feel safe the entire time. We also stopped at a cave where he explained really interesting information about magma and rock formations. Our lunch was amazing and surpassed all expectations. After lunch we went to the Alcantara Gorge which impressed us once again. Daniele was so knowledgeable about everything and we truly learned a lot. This tour is definitely worth the money, the small group aspect was so nice, and I would recommend it to everyone (aside from little kids).

Daniella was a fantastic guide and the tour was very well organised. Thankfully the tour company gave us hiking boots and wind jackets as there was a thick blanket of snow on Mount Etna on the day we visited.
    The lunch was also superb.

Knowledgeable and professional guide, great wine tasting with food sampler plate. I wish the wine portion would have had more time and opportunity to visit vineyard and processing facility, we only tasted the wine and had a brief description.

Our tour guide, Valerio, was great. We hiked part of Mt. Etna. Glad Valerio recommended hiking boots. They really helped. Lunch and wine tasting was a nice touch in between the 2 tours. Seeing the Alcantara gorge was nice. We would definitely recommended this tour.

Tony was an expert guide and passionate about beautiful Etna. We loved the content of the tour, lunch at the winery was really enjoyable and we highly recommend this experience!

Small tour ran very smoothly from pick up to being dropped back with easy Whats App communication prior to the tour.
Danilo was an excellent and informative tour guide with a lot of knowledge. The hiking was easily manageable with decent trainers.
We went to some great spots and it’s well worth taking swimming clothes for the river to see the waterfall at Alcantara.
Dinner was very tasty combination of small dishes and wine excellent.

The Lunch was more beautiful then I expected. The lunch was several tastes of Italy. White wine was very good. Transportation was clean and comfortable.

Please write specifically that the tour is not to the top of Etna as we were a bit disappointed that we went only till 1700m. Also this was not wine tasting it was more wine pairing.

First, all five stars for Saro (Rosario), our guide. He is passionate about the natural environment and extremely knowledgeable. He really made the day and, as someone who finds long car rides challenging, I was particularly grateful that he also happened to be a great driver. As for the tour itself, it was great to get a closer view of Etna and explore some of its terrain. Sturdy shoes and water (not provided) are essential. The lunch at the winery was plentiful and good, but if this had been the only wine tasting experience we had on the trip, that aspect would have been disappointing. Since we were ultimately able to do that elsewhere, we didn’t feel we missed out. The wine (one red, one white and one dessert wine of some kind) was included, and a brief explanation was provided. Alcantara was the final stop. It is a very pretty place, and there is beautiful scenery to be seen on the way. The water was very cold in April, though this didn’t stop others from venturing in. We used the free time there to just sit and enjoy the view, but would say it was skippable at least this time of year.

Going into the cave. Our guide was very knowledgeable and his love for the land and Mother Nature was admirable.

Beautiful views of Mount Etna while hiking over volcanic rock. Super informative about Etna and volcanoes in general. Thanks to Nicola and Tony for a great experience. We also really enjoyed the great lunch and wines at the vineyard.

Our guide Ezio was knowledgeable and passionate about the mountain. He is probably the best guide we’ve ever had on any excision we’ve been on. He knows everything big about Mt. Etna, the flora fauna, history of the eruptions geological shifts and life of this area. Lunch at the vineyard was delicious and a sampling of local food and three wines. The trip to tje river topped off the day. We were lucky to be with three other couples, one from England, one from Mexico and one from Australia, all lovely ! What an amazing day !

Overall a very neat excursion! It was a long day and could have easily been shortened as there were multiple points that we were just sitting around for a time. The Mount Etna part was our favorite for sure and the lunch was nice. We unfortunately didn’t get to trek through the river as it had rained so much in precious days, so that part then felt like a waste but would have been great if we had gotten to experience that. We definitely recommend the Etna tour but maybe would opt for one that is a shorter day.

Excellent tour. Our guide, Tony, was extremely knowledgeable and you could tell how much he loved his work. We were on a tour with 8 people total, including our family of 4. It was super informative, both of my teenagers really enjoyed it as well. The lunch & wines at the vineyard were very good (vegetarian options were provided – we did let the tour company know in advance that we had some vegetarians in our group). They also provided jackets and hiking boots. Highly recommend.

Great experience being on Etna and walking near and on top of craters as this is the most famous volcano. Lunch/wine was ok and guide (Nick) tried very hard to provide a lot of information about Etna. Day was a long one and maybe could end after lunch as the Alcantra gorge was just too much to take in for the day .

We had a wonderful time on this trip. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and helpful and answered all of our questions. The food and wine were amazing. The only thing I wish we’d known ahead of time was to bring swimsuits. My kids were fine swimming in their clothes at the alcantara gorge but probably would have been more comfortable in swimsuits. Not everyone swims there- most just wade- but my kids are just the type who will get wet from head to toe any chance they have 🙂 If you or your kids are like that, pack your swimsuit and change before the gorge!

Our guide Nicki was fantastic. He is very knowledgable about the mountain both its geology and botany. His passion was evident and he went the extra mile to make our trip worthwhile. Food and wine were great.

The pickup from the Hotel was perfect, on time no issues within Minutes we were on our way to the next pickup, all well organised and we were on our way to Etna Country.
Our Guide Ricardo was very Informative, and also very helpful on the Tour.
He took his time to explain everything to our party.
Our highlights of the day, were the Lava Craters standing next to big boulders, witch the Eruption had Spat out many years ago.
The Alcantara Gorge was also beautiful, as well as the Lava Cave witch they used to preserve the food in the frozen Snow.
It was a wonderful day, thank you Ricardo.
