This tour was a waste of time. Very few of the sights are actually lit up to any great extent – certainly nothing spectacular. The only lighting display worth seeing is the Fountain at Dubai Mall, however you we were told to find that on our own ie dropped off at Mall only. Just visit the fountain under your own steam.

The actual tour was great however the proof of purchase we received did not have the tour company listed. When we arrived at the address there were 2 different tour companies and neither had any information regarding our booking. The one tour company that had an evening tour spent 45 minutes making numerous phone calls to the head office and boss before she eventually allowed us on the trip. We were pleased that we presented early and persisted because they could have easily turned us away, wasting a very large amount of our money.

The tour itself was very enjoyable, but I’d be hesitant to book a last minute tour with Viator in the future. Despite the mobile app and website stating that an electronic voucher was acceptable, I showed up and the vendor was arguing with me that since I hadn’t printed it out they were unable to accept it and pretty much told me I was out of luck. Ultimately they did let me go after quite a bit of arguing and showing them repeatedly that the voucher says electronic was acceptable, and taking a picture of my e-Voucher, but I’d hope Viator would work more closely with their vendors to make sure if the site says they take e-Voucher, that they actually do.

My husband and I did this Big Bus Night Tour on 18 November 2016. It lasts about an hour and you get to see Dubai by night with the very pretty lights without hopping off the bus and with a live commentary by the guide who welcomes questions if you have any. You also get to watch a short 20 minute Sound and Light Show at Wafi Mall about ancient Egypt and the Pharaohs which is nothing extraordinary if, like us, you saw the original Sound and Light Show in Cairo, Egypt around the Pyramids. A pleasant way to spend the evening though. Please note this tour does not drop you back to your hotel, it returns you to the point where you embarked the bus and it is then up to you to return back to your hotel by taxi.

This is good for you to see the night vision of city of Dubai all lit up. There are 3 stops to pick up people . Famous Burj Kalifa all lit up at night, famous sail shaped Burj al arab hotel, yachts in the Dubai marina, 16 lane Sheikh zayed road, The best part ofcourse was our guide who kept us laughing with his jokes. All in all it was a good one if you want to see the city all lit up.

Unfortunately, this was a total failure and waste of money for me. By the time we were able to get out of the plane the bus were not available for the bus night tour. I even spoke to a lady agent of yours and explained my situation before booking and still recommended the 8:00 o’clock ride from Dubai mall to no avail. I will not honestly recommend this tour to friends and relatives and just say bye bye to my 135.00 CAD dollars.

Would recommend the Night Tour of Dubai. I would also recommend to prepare yourself for cold winds if you decide to sit outside on the open top. Dubai does get a bit chilly at night between March & April. The bus driver Mr Kumar and tour guide Ms Cicilia were very helpful and knowledgeable with all sites we visited
