Booked via Viator at Gorgeous Tours, we went for a more expensive balloon trip because of our worries for corona and thus wish of less people around us. We expected a full van (14 people) for pickup, which was ok. We were less happy with being received with about 80 people in the (indoor) cantine of Air Kapadocia which was the actual balooning company. Out of the +/- 70 people only 7 people were wearing masks. Upon asking if we could wait outside we were told that we had to wait inside (for about 30-40min). There was an option to get a drink for a coffee/thee/chocolate machine, but with that many people talking and coughing we decided to keep our masks on.
Apart from this the trip was verry good: transport to/from the ballooning location wa comfortable, we had a good pilot, and though we didn’t get up really high (hovering between 100-400 meters) I guess staying lower is actually better. After the fligt we helped emptying the balloon and got alcohol free champagne.
