Great guide she was very knowledge able and interesting with it.
Went on 8am slot and it was but still busy. Museum was interesting also.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and spoke clearly and slowly so that everyone could hear and process what she was teaching us. The headsets were a game changer and seperated our tour from other groups that were having to gather close to a guide trying to yell over crowds. She gave us enough stops to take pictures and catch up and managed to get us through the long lines waiting to get in miving us to the front of the line without incident. She was an excellent guide.
The Acropolis and the museum was fascinating and we would not have appreciated much of it without a narrated tour.
Our only frustration was in trying to find our group at our initial meeting place because there were so many clusters of people everywhere and there wasn’t any sign with our name or Viator to indicate which one was ours. We happened to see someone with a print out that looked like ours so we lucked out. There was no sign to help follow her during the tour either so a man in our group raised his orange hat to help give us clear directions on where we were to go.
Bring water, a hat to stay cool and charge your phone to get all the pictures you’ll want to get. Also wear good walking shoes since you have to have steady footing for this tour and so much of it is slippery marble.
We would highly recommend this tour.

We had a fabulous tour of the Acropolis, Parthenon, and Acropolis museum. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and passionate about Greek history and was skilled at navigating the crowds.
She was also very attentive and patient in answering all of our questions. Plus she managed to keep our 10-year old grandson thoroughly engaged throughout the tour. It was great to have a guide with such a detailed background of Greek history. The whole tour was extremely well planned and informative. If you plan to visit the Acropolis, I would highly recommend this tour. It is almost pointless to go on your own without the historical context and background as there are no signs to provide information about these monuments.

Meeting location was explained well. On time. Our tour guide, Alexandra, was superb. She paced the climb nicely, lots of info. Answered questions. She made the Pantheon and “Acropolis rock” come alive! Museum is not to be missed. Best tour of our 12 day trip! Thank you Viator and Alexandra.

Anna was a fabulous guide with masses of knowledge. The museum is astonishing and absolutely world class

  7. Munish_S

The guide was fantastic one of the best once very knowledgeable and with lot of patience she shared all the information with sufficient breaks at right moment for pictures!

The 3 hour tour included ample time at both the Acropolis and the Acropolis museum. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable, which provided a depth to the tour that we would not have experienced otherwise. She even had recommendations for wheeler to take the best photos. Our family of 9 ranged in ages from 10-74 and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Bring plenty of water to drink-it’s hot and sunny at the top of the hill!

Alexandria was an amazing and very knowledgeable tour guide. An amazing site to see. Very hot and extremely crowded when we went on the 930 tour.

I would not recommend this tour at all. In two weeks in Greece with wonderful tours, this was the only one I truly regretted. The “skip the line” is worthless if you start at 930am. The Acropolis was absolutely mobbed with a crush of people, and we were rushed through on this tour because we sat and wasted an hour in line to get to the top and see the Parthenon, etc. and we weren’t even touring in the busiest of seasons. It was only early June. Cruises or not, if you get there early you beat the rush, and 9:30am is too late, period. The only tour that you should book is one that begins before opening so you are primed and ready to go in immediately.
Ours was a smaller group, but due our guide rushing along and the masses of hundreds of people (on staircases only 3 to 4 people wide at times) members of our group kept getting separated from the guide, and with limited range on the earpieces and such huge crowds, at times some were lost because we couldn’t hear her.
The museum tour afterward was very superficial, because by the time we got there we had little time and the crowds were crazy there, too.
Moral of story…see the museum on your own (or with a private guide to get more meaning out of what you’re seeing) before at a slower time before going to the Acropolis, then tour the Acropolis (or go independently) first thing in the morning when they open, or late in the day when crowds have subsided.

A wonderful way to explore the “high” points of Athens. Liza led our group on a very informative and beautiful walk through this historic area as well as a a guided tour of the Acropolis Museum. We cannot say enough good things about Liza. There is a lot of important information on this tour and she explained it all very efficiently. The ability to skip the sometimes long lines for tickets to these venues make this tour worth the money on its own. Do yourself a favor and book this tour.

A wonderful informative tour. It was a very hot day and an extremely busy day with cruise ships in but our guide Effie was super efficient in knowledge and of shaded spots to stand to describe the history of Athens, Acropolis and Parthenon.
The museum was very good and so cool and air conditioned to round up the trip

  13. TRACY_P

The guide was very knowledgeable and informative. I’m sure I could have navigated the sights without a guide but she really brought an extra level of immersion to seeing them. Hearing the stories, history, philosophy, and background made it really enjoyable

Our tour guide was caring and knowledgeable. We learned a lot! It rained heavily during our tour, but our guide kept us engaged.

  15. Rich_B

Super knowledgeable tour guide. Felt like I was getting the inside scoop that no one else was getting.

  16. David_E

Our guide was very informative, had a great sense of humor and was gracious to take pictures of our party at each stop.

Our tour guide was great (I believe her name was Flosso [I’m spelling her name phonetically]). She was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor. I learned a lot from her. My one issue was that there was one point where I was taking pictures and I thought she gave the group enough time to do so. I finished and the group was gone and out of my eyesight. I could hear her with the earpiece but it was when I saw the back of one man in our group proceeding down the stairs leaving the Parthenon that I knew I could catch up with them. In short, the tour guides should double-, even triple-check that everyone in the group is together. And a smaller issue, she didn’t mention that the excavation of ruins under the Acropolis Museum was also open to ticket holders. I had to find that out for myself because I stayed behind when the tour was over. Besides that, the tour and “Flosso” were fantastic!
