The only thing good about this tour is you skip the queues. There is no time to stop and appreciate the sites, the guide just explains the sites and moves to the next one and it was so rushed. We had to just forgo the remaining tour to do the museum ourselves and enjoy the Acropolis more before going down. Best to just buy the skip the line tickets, read up on the sites and tour it at your own pace.

We couldn’t get to the pickup location in time…realized the time I bought the tickets for had already passed…I don’t think it’s right that tickets were sold for a time after the fact. I have used viator many times and this has never happened.

Evening Acropolis walking tour was a great choice. Annie was so knowledgeable and read the group very well in terms of pace and knowledge shared.

Alexis was such a fantastic guide! Our family loved this tour. We learned a ton and going at 5:30 meant we could easily stay until closing for fewer visitors and great pictures.
We had a small group of 15 people and the audio speakers also made it easy to hear everything including answers to other people’s questions.
    Highly recommend this tour.

Excellent experience, Kostas was extremely knowledgable and stopped regularly on the way up to explain various features which let the older members of the party catch their breath. The earpiece microphones were great. Highly recommended trip and reasonably priced

Tour guide was great, very informative and considerate for people to stop in the shade and have a water break.

  12. Sharmila_A

Guide was not very informative and slow. It started to rain and she kept us in tbe rajn while she was under an umbrella and rain jacket. I feel we should have been better accomodated or the tour could have been accelerated with the weather issues.
Acropolis was great: guide was poor. We left early

The guide was very knowledgeable. Our group was so and so interested in his lectures. He took nice photos of people in the group in front of the most interesting subject. We had a very nice time in not so good weather, partly rain. My wife and I dere very pleased.

Our guide Kimon was amazing. He was extremely knowledgeable and fun. The skies opened up and it thundered and lightning shot across the acropolis and it only made the tour that much better! Thank you Kimon for a wonderful afternoon!

We enjoyed our time going up to the Acropolis and walking around the Parthenon. The group was larger than it said in the information when we booked and we had some slow walkers who effected the experience. It was sometimes hard to hear the whisper devices, and I felt like I missed a lot of historical information that could have been shared. We still had a nice time, just could have been better.

Our guide Helena was great. Very informative about the history of the acropolis and how it was used when it was first built. The time of the tour was nice as the high temps cooled as we went up the hill.

There is no way to prepare being in the Acropolis. Thinking of all the people who walked there and how significant that site is to history. Doing this tour made it even better. Having a guide, Yiota, was very helpful. She explained what we were looking at and could answer ANY question. I’m a history teacher and I still learned a TON.
    Some logistics advice –
    1. Do that late afternoon tour, especially if you go in the summer. It was HOT and you are walking uphill with limited shade. Going later gave us incredible “golden hour” lighting but also wasnt as warm.
2, Bring a bottle of water. Even if its not hot, you are still walking uphill.
    3. If you do not have a good sense of balance, need railings, this is not for you. The acropolis does not accommodate for those with limited mobility. Stairs can be steep. You are walking on really old marble which is slick. My cousin is 32, exercises regularly, and still wiped out on top of the Acropolis. Luckily just a bruise. I would still highly recommend this experience but its just worth noting you have to be extra careful.
