Our flight was on time. According to the information from Viator, the driver should hold our name and wait us immediately outside the custom in the arrival hall. We looked around and wait for one and half hours. At the end we had to take taxi ourselves. After we arrived the hotel, we received a whatsapp message from the driver. He was waiting us at the pick up area.

Both times our drivers were safe, on time, friendly, and the cars were clean and had plenty of luggage space. Would recommend and will use them in our next trip!

The ride and driver were nice enough. However, when we booked we were told they would be waiting for us inside with name on sign and assist with luggage. Our driver instead texted us and said to find him outside in the Uber line. We had several pieces of luggage and expected assistsnce so didn’t get a cart. It made getting to the uber line to find him more difficult.

As a 60ish year old woman, when traveling I generally book a private transfer so that I am met in the terminal and don’t have to wrangle my bags outside to wherever a rideshare or shuttle pickup is. I booked this transfer because it said: Departure Point: For International arrivals: After you pass baggage carousels and continue on through customs, please follow the signs to the Exit/Greeting Area to the right where you will notice 2 (two) 20 foot tall carved red cedar Aboriginal figures welcoming guests to Vancouver where your driver/representative will be holding a sign with your name on it.
What I got instead was a text from the driver advising that he would pick me up at the rideshare pickup point in a Gray Tesla. To me, this is not the service I paid for. I don’t blame the driver for this, as the company should have made clear what service was sold. But he showed up on time, he was pleasant and drove carefully.

Our driver took us on a short side trip through the wealthiest neighborhood in the city and explained that about 20% of the population are Chinese. He explained that Vancouver is the closest North American city to China. Enroute he pointed out some buildings and explained how they came to be. We had a most enjoyable and educational ride from the airport.

This time I had to make multiple calls to get in touch with someone to come pick us up!! That’s a stressful way to start a vacation.
