We loved our tour with Dave! If you want to learn about the immense history and culture of Seoul, this is the tour for you. We saw so much in one day! Dave is super knowledgeable about the history and can speak English well. He took his time with us and customized any part of the tour we wanted. Part of the tour you will be walking and part will be in his van. We also felt comfortable going to a Korean restaurant during lunch time since he speaks Korean and helped us order. That’s not something we felt confident doing so it added so much to our trip! Book this tour!

It was so hot in Seoul, and yet our tour guide Janet led us around everywhere with admirable dedication and spirit!! The tour was a mixture of walking and driving, due to the weather that prohibited too much walking. Janet was able to convey to us a lot of her knowledge about the traditional Korean palaces that we visited. She was accommodating for when we wanted to stop and shop at local street marts, and she helped negotiate good prices for us at the markets. She was very considerate about our preferences. For example, she guided us to a restaurant that we had requested we visit. Also, even though she had assumed that our trip to Namsan Tower would only last a few minutes, we spent close to an hour in the tower and she was unfazed and happy to see us enjoying!!! Janet was personable and kind. We truly saw a lot of Gangbuk (northern seoul, specifically north of the Han River) and made sure to hit all our destinations. A great tour, even in the immense summer heat!
Note: if taking this tour in the summer, be sure to take care and make plans accordingly. Very elderly people or very young children may be unable to handle the heat. We were a group of two parents and two teenage children, and even we were struggling sometimes with the sheer humidity and heat of walking around everywhere.

When we spent less time at N-Tower than anticipated the guide took us to one of the local food markets because we had been asking food related questions!
