Our tour was on 16 May at 10am and I think there were supposed to be three guides and only two showed up. The boss offered a refund to us because the group size was so large, but we four wanted to go on a tour so we stuck with it. Unfortunately, our guide was a “low talker” and we couldn’t hear him talking about the sights much of the time. I stated to him that he would do better if he had some sort of a microphone; but he did not improve and was obviously unable to speak loudly enough for our group. The four of us were happy about the places we were led to along the environs of the Royal Mile, and we enjoyed ourselves in spite of being unable to hear what our guide had to say. We loved the city of Edinburgh and the people including our “low talking” guide who was a very friendly and knowledgeable guide (we think).

Douglas was so knowledgeable and entertaining. He made the tour for us. He went at our pace so we were a little short of the final destination but everyone was ok with that. Wonderful way to learn about Edinburgh.
