Rottnest is Overated!! Poor service on bus, as they are try to fit people in to max capacity on very hot weather, rather than putting more bus service instead. Food and drinks are too expensive, poor service at Dome. Vessel to and from was a great trip though.

The basin beach and Rockpool are absolutely breathtaking!!! Certainly a bucket list location. Will go back there for sure 👍🏻

Ferry did not leave at 9.30 as advertised but at 10.30. Missed an hour of my trip, so had to miss a few things on the island

Getting to see sites along the Swan River . The ride was smooth and the story being told of different buildings on the way to Fremantle was interesting and informative.

This was a well-organised trip to a beautiful island. Using the rented bike to get away from the landing on the island, it became tranquil and full of secluded beaches.

Wish we’d checked the time on our return ticket when getting the paper tickets. Confirmed email return was 4.30pm. Paper ticket showed 5pm return, and was stapled under other ticket with no mention of changed time. Only negative to an awesome day.

The ferry staff were amazing, very informative and friendly. Rottnest was a quaint island and glad to see it not seriously commercial. Lovely to see in natural state and the Quokkas roam freely so lovely to see.

Smooth trip on the ferry and was booked to comeback to BShed at 4.30pm. However after the grand tour of Rottnest we wished to return at 3.30pm. Crew changed the time for us with no problem. We booked a taxi the night before to leave hotel at 8.15am. Didn’t arrive by 8.35am. Booked another and 10 minutes later it didn’t arrive. The receptionist at the hotel was kind enough to drive us to B Shed terminal. If not we would have lost our prepaid $158.00. Upon return no taxis in sight to service 100’s of people. Had to then walk 3kms in 29 degree heat to hotel. Taxi “service” is total crap!

Beautiful Rottnest Island. We did the bud tour which I’d not normally do on a trip, but was very glad that I did that. The driver was very very informative and he took us all around the Island. Saw Quockers and plenty of them and most had babies. Beautiful place with a lot of history. I’d go and stay a couple of days next time to do snorkelling. Loved it.

The ferry ride itself is very comfortable. If you have a choice jump on from Fremantle, it will save you a couple of hours over the day. The flies are unbelievable, get face nets before you go, or from the store at George’s Bay.

We had a great time exploring the island, enjoying the beautiful views and beaches.
Sat down for a delicious lunch and drinks while watching the volleyball games.
Rode a bike around while exploring.
