Driver excellent, friendly and communicative about general history of the sites we passed through on the way down. As I had an ancestor there in 1835 I was most interested in the various sites and had all my questions answered to my satisfaction. Cruise to the Isle of the Dead most enlightening. Memorial to the awful events of 1996 sobering and inspiring. Considering the nature of the site, there was a peaceful atmosphere

We got there around 15minutes before the guided tour of the site at 11:30am then straight to the isle of the Dead at 1:00pm – we missed the caves as we were starving by the time we returned from the island so there was just not enough time to do the caves tour – maybe getting there 1/2 hour earlier would have been better

The day was fantastic from start to finish. Our bus driver/guide Mark was great, his knowledge was amazing. Port Arthur itself was a chilling, eye opening experience. Highly recommend!!
